has this phrase has spread like wildfire in others parts as well? just a quick rant...

lately Ive been hearing people over use this phrase left and right and its outright annoying

example:

me: is it windy outside?

random cowoker: to be honest with you, yea its pretty windy


oh ok. well thanks for clarifying that this was going to be a truthful answer about something I would have no reason to suspect you to be dishonest about. appreciate it.

I dunno maybe im overreacting but I seriously hear this atleast 10 times a week!
 
Fam, that is about as new as saying "Hello" when you answer the phone.
You're definitely overreacting, take a nap or something.
 
yeah i say it when im being honest with a person or when i know they going to call ducktales
 
not really, I use more "I'm deadass" ,"I'm dead serious" or the most common "I swear to god..."

I despise when people use "word as bond", it bugs the hell out of me
