Official Job Referral Thread....Vol. Moving on up.

So as you know, its not what you know but who you know. I thought that this would be a good way to refer people for jobs and help each other out. FromMacy's to Law Firms lets spread internships to launching Careers. Need an intern? Post it.

I am currently employed by Bank of America.
I want a better Job in Finance. I have an Econ degree and an Accounting minor. Hook it up NT. PMs are welcomed.

If anyone is looking for a job at BOA get at me. I will split the referral bonus with you.

I think this may be a great career launching tool.

Not hard. Tell her to log on and find a job she is interested in. Then PM me the state and location her name and email and I will send her areferral from my work email. Then it is up to her to interview well.

I'm not sure if there are any BOAs in my area, but i'd definitely consider relocating for a legit career.
I've got a bachelor's degree, not sure if that will help or not.

no experience no nothing.. someone hook me up

honestly it depends on your resume and your qualifications, being in high school puts you at a slight disadvantage.most of the people i know whowork in banks got in due to family members. with that said my homies girl used to work for td. ill see if she can give me any advice on how to help you.

Would you be willing to help a brother out? I'm currently in NYC.

Looking to find a new place of employment. I just got my first apt and it's pretty damn hard to make ends meet w/ my current job situation...

i could do bank teller or w.e. im in Queens btw

A fair warning to a few:

I don't know why anyone would want to be a Bank Teller... its so boring and a waste of experience. Got Bachelors in Economics and like many wanted to geta finance job. Settled for a Teller position at Chase and only stayed a week. Hated it. A friend of mine was hired a teller for BOA in Manhattan and onlylasted a week. At Chase you are forced to constantly annoy customers to apply for unnecessary stuff (credit cards, rewards package etc). Thats like themannoying Footlocker Employees trying to sell you some socks and insoles that you don't even need.

If you want to get into Commercial Banking (Chase, TD, BOA, HSBC) the best way to get that easy money is be a Personal Banker or Client Representative. Easy40k +, but you would need the series 6 and 63.

Lots of respect to Grizzly for creating this thread and trying to help out, but with the Unemployment Rate constantly rising, realisticly it will be muchharder to find a job. Competition is much much higher
