The man has 2 classic albums (you can argue All Eyes on Me, but I wouldn't.)
He made Top 10 hits out of songs like "Dear Mama" and "Keep ya Head up". Powerful music that actually means %+@%.
Songs like "Changes". Songs with POWERFUL messages and then he could still hit you with a "Hail Mary" for the streets.
And you want to talk about he's not in the top 15??

Let me know which other rap would drop a record like "Blasphemy".
Nobody has the guts to do that, that %+@% doesn't sell. But Pac did and you could feel all he is saying.

And he ain't top 15??????

The biggest problem with Pac would be that he was whored out after his death.
Songs simply don't sound good when you throw random beats over vocals that were already done.

I really don't see any way around it. MY opinion is that he's overrated. He does have some great material and I can't nameanother rapper that's more influential than he has been. But at the end of the day, I don't care what the public says..if I'm not feeling themusic, than I'm not going to listen to it. Lyrically, I don't believe he's as Godly as people claim him to be. I rather listen to Mos Def or NaS.

EDIT: Just realized your comment wasn't directed towards me. Oh well, I stand by it.

It's already been established that Biggie was a better rapper, i don't know about the rest of yall but when I organize a Top __ list, it's based onthe individual as an artist. That's why L and Pun won't ever make into my top 10.

I just started liking Biggie this past year.... I've always been a 2Pac Fan...

Im glad the biggie movie came out first, because 2pacs is gonna be that much better.

I hear you, but I don't know anyone who claims Pac as one of the greatest lyricists ever.
I don't want to give the false impression that he's *%%@ on the mic(he can spit), but he's not one of the greatest in that aspect.

But at the end of the day, we all know there's alot more to being an artist than just amazing lyrics.

If that's ALL you look for in music, you wouldn't be able to appreciate Pac and the greatness that he was/is.

Flow, delivery, everything.... Bigge > Pac

You guys are getting it mixed up...

Tupac is a better artist than Biggie? I have to disagree. Every song that B.I.G did (with the exception of 3 or 4) was flawless. He really treated every songlike it was his last. You could hear the hard work and polish that went to every Biggie song. That's why his music is so timeless.

Don't get me wrong....

2pac was great. I think what you're trying to say is that he wasn't a better artist than Biggie, he was more influential than Biggie outside ofHip-Hop. His whole "Thug Life" and "fighting the system" was a pretty good movement. You could tell 2pac was ready to do big things in theworld outside of Hip-Hop...

But on the other hand....

We never really know what Biggie could have became. He wasn't at his peak yet, skill wise and commercial wise. I feel like it was just the beginningman....

Its hard for me to say much about Big off of 2 albums... Ready to Die and Life after Death werent all that to me. To be honest I don't see how people sayhe was the greatest rapper of all time, far from it IMO....maybe in my top 15.

2pac on the other hand had such a large catalog, he had quite a few albums out before his death. His lyricism was nothing special, but he really put hisemotions into his songs, which was what made him great.

I don't know if either would be in my top 15
