Man, go to your best buy and go buy Makaveli and get back to me.
The man has 2 classic albums (you can argue All Eyes on Me, but I wouldn't.)
He made Top 10 hits out of songs like "Dear Mama" and "Keep ya Head up". Powerful music that actually means %+@%.
Songs like "Changes". Songs with POWERFUL messages and then he could still hit you with a "Hail Mary" for the streets.
And you want to talk about he's not in the top 15??
Let me know which other rap would drop a record like "Blasphemy".
Nobody has the guts to do that, that %+@% doesn't sell. But Pac did and you could feel all he is saying.
And he ain't top 15??????
The biggest problem with Pac would be that he was whored out after his death.
Songs simply don't sound good when you throw random beats over vocals that were already done.

I hear you, but I don't know anyone who claims Pac as one of the greatest lyricists ever.
I don't want to give the false impression that he's *%%@ on the mic(he can spit), but he's not one of the greatest in that aspect.
But at the end of the day, we all know there's alot more to being an artist than just amazing lyrics.
If that's ALL you look for in music, you wouldn't be able to appreciate Pac and the greatness that he was/is.
at its not even up for disscussion anymore as far as im concerned....Originally Posted by TennHouse2

2pac on the other hand had such a large catalog, he had quite a few albums out before his death. His lyricism was nothing special, but he really put his emotions into his songs, which was what made him great.
I don't know if either would be in my top 15
