Is It A Stretch To Say Dre 3000 Is Better Than Nas? Why?

So saying one is better than the other is not a stretch. It's an opinion.
Yup, it's not outlandish or anything.
I think that Nas is the best ever, but if you mess with 3 stacks, that's fine with me.

If Nas was from ATL and Andre from NY...the tables would be turned.. with that being said.. 3 stacks FTW..But then again Nas never really appealed tome..I'm not doubting his greatness as an MC..Im not hatin..just not my cup of tea...

Thats how I feel a lot of these NY gods would be considered mediocre if they were from the south

Well you can take Luda and TIP of that list without even taking another look. Cee-lo could never hang with 3 stacks in anyway and same goes for UGK.
LOL QUE?

UGK. So that leaves Scarface and i cant see him being better then 3 stacks or even big boi at that in any aspect of hip hop.

It's obvious that your opinion is biased, are you ready to declare yourself a 3 Stacks stan? Cee Lo has "hung" with Dre on numerous occasions, maybe you just aren't aware of this?

Cee Lo isn't the lyricist that 3 Stacks or Nas are but all this talk that Cee Lo would get bodied are ludicrous in the truest sense of the word. Like Isaid Mr. Green has gone bar for bar with Dre a few times.

Scarface is more of a legend then Andre is,

and if he (3000) heard you talking about Face like that he'd probably tell you to quiet yourself. Dre is atop tier MC, so is Scarface, and there are certain aspects of the game that Face is definitely better at. Hell UGK too, there's less of a case to make forPimp C and Bun but regardless they've never been embarrassed by Dre or Big Boi.

Ignorant kids like you run rampant . It`s sad that you would even consider region as a factor in greatness . All these dudes that are labeled"gods" is because they`ve made classic music , which I'm sure you haven't even listened to. This ain't no filler bullissh man ... Getoutta of your outhouse and live a lil , lil nukkkka.

are yall really on music, or do yall just take other peoples opinions and run with em.
Andre is

Whoever said UGK was weaker than outkast,

I love 'em both and they both are obviously top tier MC's, but I feel its a little bit of a stretch being as Andre doesn't have a solo LP. Evenwithout the solo LP Andre's still got 3 classics IMO, NaS got 4 by my count and a BUTT LOAD of unreleased gems....

*$!$ outta here.

3000 is the only rapper I respect being compared or even surpassing Nas. Dude is a genius any way you look at it.

But Nas still has the crown, now and forever.

as great as 3k is...you puttin him up against the guy who made Illmatic at 19.

i ain't discreditin dre from what he's done...but imo, i just find it unfair to make
judgments / comparison like these when he ain't have a solo album yet.
( The Love Below doesn't count. )

yes he has a lot of material, but there's no doubt solo efforts are different.

end of the day, both are greatly skilled mcs.

this has to be one of the most idiotic statements i've read in here.
first, their entire sound is different and east coast mc's have different
styles that southern mc's don't or aren't as polished with and vice versa.
Illmatic wouldn't be what it is if Nas was from the south, just like
Southernplayalisticadilacmuzik wouldn't be what it is if they were from NY.

next...this if is just ******ed. they made timeless music, period.

lot of bias and stupid statements in this thread...

What about Jay?
Nah.

Jay was never really a deep dude to me. Nas & 3000 are storytellers...artists. Jay just bigs himself up. Every song is me, me, me. That's notinspiring.

Thank you.

But I feel like Nas when featured on other people songs he doesnt excel as much as he does on his solo albums where Dre shuts his collaborators down.
