Eminem IVs: Really?...

Who the hell in their right mind would pay $9,000 for a pair of shoes?! I don't care how rare these things are!

this is all quite true, but I would like to add a bit more as well.

A lot of these very rare samples are not wildly different than GR shoes whereas eminem 4s and undfted 4s are. If I had thousands to toss around I think I wouldhave a harder time dropping 5k on a shoe which, in all reality, is pretty much identical to a retro I could have for less than 1/10 the cost. I am paying 5kfor about a square inch of difference. On the other hand, no other 4s look like eminem 4s. If I had those they would be easily indentifiable as"special." I think that has a lot to do with it. I think other rare samples would fetch a similar or greater price if they had more ditinct features. For instance, clear sole 3s, I think would fetch more than eminem 4s (this is a guess, never seen them for sale) whereas samples like low-cut concords, low cutfire red 5s, 45 spacejams, inverted infrareds, etc etc all have much cheaper very similar counterparts that detract from their "rarity." Basically, the more unique a shoe is also contributes to its perceived rarity.

the whole "LIMITED" concept is so farfetched. samples get no honor either. some things distort those who dont know what they like and leave that inthe hands of people who dont make the purchases for them.

I really wouldn't know where to post this other than the Jordan Brand forums and this question has been on my mind long enough: Why do Jordan Eminem IVs and even UNDFTD IVs go for more than much rarer samples that I've seen on ebay? I've seen Eminem IVs go for around 5-7k on ebay and see spacejam '45's barely get to 2.5k. Why would this be so? Lock if this isn't important but I'm pretty sure other sneakerheads would want to know why as well.
Because of the status behind them.
