The CDP IV was such a disappointment, I don't see this being any better. The cut will be off and of course the Nike Air will be removed. I bought theseback in 99 when they released and their was no line no hype at footlocker. Just strolled in, asked for my size, put them on right there and walked out. How Iwish I would have bought more to hold on to!!!!!!!!

I also see this rumor being a possibility. This is how it started with the black CDP IV. Look at all the other shoes that have come out with this color combo,Air Flight 89, upcoming dub zero, and the Spiz'ike. Jordan brand is just keeping all of you thirsty!

I could tell you right now if it does release, the grey will be totally off. I see it being alot darker.

i bet if the jumpman were there from the 89 og model and the 99retro model, then they switch it to nike air for the re-retro model ppl will complain REALTALK.
after basically 8years of nike air being gone from shoes u guys still complain about wanting it, it's not gonna happen this year

It was Gentry who said Nike Air wouldn't happen while he was at the helm. He's not calling shots anymore.
I wouldn't put it past Mark Smith to make the call and put Nike Air back on such a classic shoe for the sake of nostalgia.
This is a dude who has a much richer history in the culture and consequently he probably has a much greater respect for original designs.
If not I'll still cop, but I believe they've been waiting for the right moment to bring this back and that time may well have come.
I have a glimmer of hope for Nike Air to make it's return this year.
