Current Coupon Codes - REQUESTS OR ?s = WARNING

For all we know Sole Martyr is a very bored and very rich Phil Knight. Nike is one of the worst offenders of maintaining large profit margins (hello Apple, Cisco, Exxon, etc).

I've seen this before when Bruce Wayne went all Matches Malone and stole from Wayne Enterprises.

Phil Knight doesn't care about us. The exploding interest in sneakers has benefited his corporation the most. We went from a retro Jordan maybe once a month or two to once a week.

And the coupon poachers are indeed thieves. But none of us are being harmed by the crime...yet.

All this justification...

Does 20% off mean that much to people?

Yeea FAM. Esp when I'm copping $1000 worth of kicks on one order.. All Kobe and kd IDs
not aiming at you or saving you bought one..but that's most people's reasoning when buying the codes.

If you got to buy a code to save $200 on $1k of kicks..then maybe you shouldn't be spending $1k on kicks.

That's my point. We're talking about expensive shoes.

20% codes is not hurting nike one bit. If anything it helped them sell shoes that would sit if not for the 20% exploit.

before the 20% was exposed the lebron 11 sprite had a FSR and look at them now.

The codes being used are also given to legitimate customers by nike, so imagine having a nike rep gave you a discount code because of a problem or defect on a shoe only to find it's been used by someone else.

For every code sold or given away through illegitimate channels means someone else is basically losing their legit code.
That's when you call and say someone used/stole your code.  They look up the order, replace your code, ban the user who exploited it, and the only person who REALLY loses (other than someone having to take extra time to call and get their code replaced) is Nike...

What ES is doing is trying to get Nike to fix the problem...because it IS a problem.  Yea, they'll look into the issue if a few people call and complain (which they will when they find their coupon was already redeemed) after random Joe on eBay sells you a 20% code for $10 bucks, but they will REALLY look into it when a lot more people call because the codes were basically thrown out to the general public at no cost to them.  I guarantee a lot more 20% was just redeemed in the last 12 hours when the codes were given out in public, than in the past month when only select few were SELLING them online.  All this leads to HOPEFULLY Nike fixing the issue, and preventing people from exploiting it and stealing codes in the future.

I don't think it's an ego thing...but I don't know the man personally.  I'm not going to make assumptions on someone's character based off words over the internet.  I know a lot has changed after he's put websites/people on blast.  FNL fixed their backdoor/origin problem, Hanon finally wised up and started changing out product #s for early sales, RSVPs now seem more fair and random, and countdown timers/CAPCHA helps deter ATC services which gives average Joe a shot on release day.

I like the fact someone is trying to do SOMETHING.  Ever since the BC3 release in 2011, getting shoes online has become ridiculous.  I know you are never guaranteed a pair, but I like to know going in I at least have a chance.  Things have been a lot better the past 9-12 months AFTER a lot of these "exploits" have been made public, because it's caused companies to try and fix their problems.

I might be in the minority, but I applaud his efforts.  And no, I haven't used any of these codes.  People will justify whatever they have to to make themselves feel better.  If you use them...fine.  If you don't...fine.  All in all...I hope it helps FIX more problems.  In the end...I just want to be by my computer @ 8AM EST on "Sadderday" and hope I have the same chance at getting a pair of shoes as the next guy.

Seein a lot of people on twitter saying they gettin calls from the fraud dept gettin warnings and threats of being banned using them codes...

The look on my face when I woke up to this thread and ES tweets. Put Nike lazy ***** to work on a Sunday

I thought about it when I saw the tweets but all I really want are tech shorts and dri fit socks so it's not really worth risking a ban

Nike the only company where customers are constantly trying to rip them off. Lol.

But we should really get back on subject. Post the code use at your own risk and keep it moving.
