If you become filthy rich, how would you raise your children?

It would certainly be a dilemma to me, because I came from very humble beginnings. Of course I want to give them the best things, such as clothes, toys, etc.but at the same time I want to teach them what hard work really is. It would be difficult for me to turn down buying anything for them, because most of mymotivation in life is to not have to tell my kids that I cannot get them something.

make sure they knew what it took for me to get where I am I guide them towards those steps.

They would receive all of the finer things in life, but only if they worked for them. There would be no handouts in my household.

I'd make them get a job @ 16 and save up for a down payment for their car.

Say grace before every meal.

Jays for A's!

Take em to the titty bar with me and teach em how to make it rain.
Buy them m6's when they're 15 1/2.
3 G a week allowance.

Just make sure they understand what its like to not have everything giving to them. Being rich its gonna be a hard lesson to teach, but you must or you'llend up with a holes and paris hiltons.

Don't give them an allowance. I never had one

I teach them what hard work is. I would never just give them everything wanted. they have to work for it. One thing i'll do is spoil my children, and seethem grow up to be ungrateful lazy snobs.

That is a good attitude to have in the sense you are motivated to work hard to provide for your kids.

But when I look back at life and realize all the things I didn't have as a child, I realize how happy I am to come from such humble beginnings.

To learn and understand the value of money through hard work is worth not being a spoiled child.

Kids have to learn motivation from some where. If they are handed everything, they will fail to do so.

I wouldn't even let them know I was filthy rich until they are old enough to understand so I would probably brake the news when they are about 18.

I also probably wouldn't live in a mansion either, a simple 3 to 4 bedroom house would be enough for me.

simple.
depending on their age, life etc.
say they really really want this stupid gokart thats like 5 grand and its no problem for you to buy.
make them pay you a certain amount of money that they'd really have to work to get and save.

if they are 14 tell them they need to work part time and raise like 2 months wage to buy it from you.

I'd raise them to be responsible and hard working because I'd put into my will that w/e I'm worth. Depending how many children I have. That I'donly leave each child a maximum 5% of my worth each. The rest I'd leave to charity.

I definitely would never spoil my kids no matter how much money I had

Spoiled people annoy me
