COMPLEX MAGAZINE - AJ 2K9 ARTICLE - ALL ABOUT THE SHOE

The satin uppers are a huge deal breaker, they're going to get ruined quick. As for the performance gimmick, JB needs to take their own advice and dosomething with form and function. The shoe looks like garbage and i'm glad they're not calling this the AJ 24.

I for one cannot wait to hoop in them. To each their own

co-sign, i cant wait to see how these are on the court. But im def not going to buy for retail

They sound like they'll be one of the better functional shoes to play in. I'd check them out in store just to see how the ATP tech feels and ifit's as innovative as it sounds.

But just like the 20-22's, minus a hot black/stealth or black/red model, these will sit on shelves FOR EVER. No educated consumer is dropping that much onbasketball shoes anymore. Collectors will probably be the only ones to buy these at retail. Everyone else will wait for an employee discount or eBay price toget these.

thanks man nice post
these look better everytime i see them and i will cop a pair for abot 100 bucks
nike employee store ftw

You know what i love all of this stuff - i totally appreciate when a designer goes into every detail of the shoe and tells you the ins and the outs of it.

However thats not going to be enough for this one i'm afraid.

But its elevated it from not even on tour to maybe if its 29.99

Jumpman Pro ID, here I come!

And if carbon fiber plates are so important to MJ - essentially a requirement by him to be used on shoes to prevent foot injuries, per the article - why in theHECK did he diss us on the Jumpman Pro Retro GR and, um, virtually every other shoe JB releases!?!?!?!!

I guess that's just Michael the salesman at work...

I strongly believe that these Jordans will be much like the XXI and XXII...........not much demand for them. Some people like them the majority don't(I'm included in the majority) and when its all said and done you will be able to find them at a fraction of the cost months after they release. At thattime they will be a decent option for kicks to hoop in but not till then.

I am really starting to appreciate this shoe more afterreading that great article!
I dont know, i will see how i feel about them once i try a pair on and see them up close.

Funny to see someone still rocking a Jordan Shoe charm.

Shoe will be better in other rumored colorways.

This dummy just ruined MJ's post-numbered shoe legacy

Mayden didn't set the pricing, and the production shoe is pretty far removed from the design he turned in.
He may have played a part in creating a shoe that is much hated on, but he is nowhere near solely responsible for it.

I agree with that... happens with cars too... sometimes manufacturing fails or simply cannot bring the concept to production in a form that trulyconveys the original design to the consumer. This will probably be one of easiest J's to ruin though... stick with black... that satin is going to be adirt MAGNET.

The white satin is going to yellow like a race car too... poor decision in materials for such a large surface of the shoe.
