What's good fellas? Im looking for a new job. I currently work in the food and beverage industry and that's all I've known ever since I started myfirst job at 19. It's good for an up-and-comer but working with those jerk civilians that come in can be a headache. Now, Im back in school and Im lookingfor a different gig. I wouldnt mind getting paid anywhere from 8.5-10.00+. Ive though about being a hotel bellperson or reservation agent, airport cashier,T-Mobile/ATT type of job at one of those little plaza stores, or warehouse, Lowes and Home Depot but it seems a lil hard to get jobs there. You guys have anyother suggestions? Thanks.

You should be a Waiter, about 2.65 an hour depending on the state but if you got personality and its a busy restaurant the possibilities are endless..

Im majoring in graphic design. I just got back in school in Aug 2008 so I have a lots of time until i graduate. Im just looking for a simple, part-time jobthat's flexible. Only expenses I really have are car insurance and food. Righ now, Im just fed up with food and beverage.

Yup Yup .. depending on the spot you could make good tips .. save the checks spend the tips is a good strategy .. it's good for hospitality management exp... Good stepping stone for sure

If you're not in your last year of school, I'd recommend trying to get a job at a book store that sells a few of the books you'll be needingthroughout the course of your college career.

If nothing else, you'll save a couple hundred on books, get a decent wage, and won't have to worry about doing too much work.

You mentioned a lot of ok jobs.

Just start applying because with the way the economy is I dont think you can get a job THAT easily.

best of luck to ya tho

Be persistant and act like you really care for the job, which you should. Keep following up even if you think your shots are low.

Working at a hotel is not a bad gig, and could lead to bigger things once you get your degree. Also, go to your local elementary school, learning center ormiddle school and apply for a teachers assistant position. They pay well, however the hiring process will be long, due to background checks and all that jazz.

How about a Bank teller? They make pretty good money and are flexible with school. I think some might even pay for your schooling

just apply bro, it doesnt look like your to picky, only asking for $8.50 anyways, you mentioned jobs in varities of fields so just keep applying and make sureu follow up with ur application with a call or stop in and let em know u applied. trust me, it works.

i was a bartender for a bit. you can make really good tips on the weekends

its a bonus because they operate off of school hours, you are probably going to be partying anyway, you might be able to drink while you work, and girls willflirt with you.

if you are looking towards the future, bank teller is a good idea. get in good and work your way up in the rankings.

hotel is a cool job as long as it doesnt demand alot of your time.....i'm in school also and i feel working retail is the perfect job for a student
