Ok. Before all the Jay-Z stans come in here and talk about Pee being a ballerina , he gets robbed everyday etc.whatever let me just say this; THAT HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH MUSIC...NOBODY..with the exception of NaS was on Prodigy's level from 95-99. YES..that includes BIG and Jay. His performance on the Hell on Earth album was one of the greatest of all time. His wordplay and gun talk was impeccable. He has obviously fell off but that shouldn't discredit the fact that this guy has QUALITY material. HNIC is a near classic...AND The Infamous is the 2nd greatest album of all time IMO and Hell on Earth is also a classic..but what I like most about Pee as a rapper besides the ill beat selection is the fact that the guy's like 3 ft tall but he talks and raps like a heavyweight.

..seriously though he's taken his L's but he still puts out music - good music after all these years.,,let's appreciate this hip hop legend.

BTW: Mobb Deep is the best group of all time...CLASSIC RECORDS..and another thing..back in '96 when Pac was making a mockery out of us (NY)..none of the "Kings of NY' did anything..not NaS (my favorite rapper) not Jay and def not B.I.G..the only one who actually responded with an OBVIOUS shot was guess who????????????...let's appreciate

at the time, Pee was that dude. was he better than big ? I don't think so. was he better than jay ? i think he was definitely grimier. he had a flow thatmade him sound like the incredible hulk.

that is, without a doubt, the greatest opening line in the history of all Hip Hop Music.

Aint no way when this joint comes on the ipod I can NOT spit it out loud with mad ferociousness and authority

HNIC is a personal classic of mine. "Infamous Minded"
pimp.gif

Near classic? HNIC is most definitely classic in my eyes. Everything Prodigy has put out in his career has been solid, even the album the mobb put out on Gunit. How long did my dude get? A nickel right?

"Its whatever, slugs through your avirex leather/I close one lid so I can aim a little better"

Infamous Minded is my #@+ ...The infamous is my2nd fav hip-hop album behind illmatic.

On my grandmothers daughter I was just singing this to myself yesterday saying I was going to make a post about P

it's def ATLEAST a 4.5/5. there's two songs i can do without...trials of love and Y.B.E..but ea that album is FIRE.
If he would've continued with his Infamous/Hell on Earth self...he would've been an easy contender for the King of NY..and atleast a Top 5 rapper ofall time. Pee is in my top 10.

Blood Money gets alot of hate..but I enjoyed the album but theres a few joints that are not MOBB DEEP...at all.

The Infamous is my favorite hip-hop album of all time. Prodigy gritty style is one of a kind.

....na man but yea Prodigy's verses, delivery and vocabulary on The Infamous and Hell on Earth are superior to Biggie's on RTD and LAD..Biggie doesn't have the amount of work that Prodigyhas, much less NaS and Jay....do you understand how much material Prodigy/Mobbdeep has?...Besides all the albums...hundreds of mixtape joints..probablythousands of verses..

Prodigy is that dude.

Heavily underrated. H.N.I.C. is a classic and Return of the Mac is one of the most overlooked album/mixtapes in recent history.....but his delivery was betterthan BIGs?

Can't co-sign that. One more chance delivery was smoother than anything Prodigy could ever imagine doing and BIGs delivery just s_ed on everyone else inHip-Hop history on LAD. He fast forwarded the evolution of the game like 5 years with that album. Somebody's got to Die/Kick in the Door/LongKiss/Hypnotize...nah fam. P is up there with uniqeness of delivery but he had that 1 way of delivering ryhme...that was it. It worked for him and he craftedmasterpieces. But the only other people that I see rivaling BIG with the versatiliy, originality and perfection of delivery is probably Em and Andre (Lupe onThe Cool for honorable mention).

BIG was a MONSTER..and you might be right about the delivery..I can't really argue..I just think Prodigy's was better...all i'm saying is; BIG hadNEVER..EVER..spit and delivered anything like PEE's verse on Apostles Warning..the vocabulary, gun talk, emotion, intelligence and grittyness of that versewas better than any verse BIG ever layed down..the only verse might that comes close is BIG's verse on Victory...maybe.
