lol I almost accidentally won a pair of fake VIII's off ebay today. For some reason I didn't even look at the listing real well and after I placed mybid I went back and realized that his pic wasn't his. I went to go look at his feedback and sure enough the one negative comment that he had was because hesold a dude fake sneakers. Got that bid retracted right quick thank god

i was going to say the first thing you should do when you get into the hobby is educate yourself on what is authentic and what isn't. I guess he's beenaround for a while though. It's nothing to be ashamed of, just take a trip to the legit check forum and learn a few things. at least post there whenyou're about to buy a pair to make sure they're good.

1.next time check the tag to see if the number matches a legit pair of joprdans
2.file a claim and send the shoes with a signature required.
3.when the shoes have been signed for email paypal with proof. the seller is forced to pay now or paypal with refund you the full amount of the auction.
4.live and learn.....

Thanks for all the replies. I'm going to take the necessary steps to get my money back. In all honesty, I should have known better. I had these back when Iwas in college and looking for another pair after I got my CDPs.
I didn't think they came with the key chain but wasn't exactly sure. I gave him positive feedback right away because I quick opened the box anddidn't actually give them a full inspection. After looking closer, I knew the elephant print was a dead giveaway....
The dude had 100% feedback and was selling other Jordans that looked legit. I figured if someone says they are 100% authentic and a full refund, they arelegit...
I will keep you guys posted on what happens. I'm going to file a claim with Paypal right now.

Easy on the assumptions that Paypal will give you your money back. Twice I've ran into frauds on ebay/paypal. One was for a DVD player and the other was aPS2. I paid and the seller didn't send anything. I filed a complaint through Paypal. They did their "investigation", two weeks later they emailme with a response saying "We've completed our investigation and found the seller to be at fault. We regret to inform you that the seller has alreadycleared the funds from their account and we were unable to recover your payment." And that was it. They take no other steps in retrieving your money.
Chances are, you'll have to file a complaint with your credit/debit card company. Paypal sucks. I hate it. An absolute false sense of security and acomplete rip-off.

sum of u guys act likeu have never made a mistake. You dont think he feels bad enough. I read alot of stories about people being taken i dnt think he needs youguys gng why are u on nt or saying how could u not spot them. I just dealt with something like this recently with some fake XIs. I didnt wait I just filed a claim with paypal.
the procedure was like this
1.Dispute item wasnt the same as listed.
2. Escalate to claim(I didnt wait I escalated to a claim within a 1 hr)
3.Wait for the Seller to reply back to paypal
4.Then the seller was forced to offer a refund if I send the shoes back but I had to pay for shipping
5. I send the shoes off
6.Entered the tracking information into the paypal dispute center (this is very important!)
7.Paypal confirms the package was delivered back to the seller
8. I got a full refund back from the seller account thru paypal
Do it thru paypal you'll have a record of everything. Dont do it thru him, he will screw you over. If he sold you fakes dont trust him.
