Im sure this has ran through a lot of your minds, as it just did mine...

Old retros if not worn have problems, but none if worn....

New retros problems if worn, but none if not...

Shouldnt it be the other way around?

Save the stupid comments. Basically yeah, it's a topic on quality. It just pisses me off that you can't buy DS older retros (3s, 4s, 6s etc...) due toproblems if you wear them. You can't buy newer retros (almost all of them) due to problems if you wear them...bad creasing, paint chipping etc....

You can get a vnds pair of '01 3s and have less problems than an '06-'07 pair.

Its funny, because i swear i thought about this the other day...

It just goes to show you the quality shifted from Basketball use, to showcase use. Its THAT simple!!!

We went from buying Air Jordans to wear for basketball; NOW we buy them to walk thru the mall....

We cant BLAME nobody but US!!! JB knows we buy Retro Jordans to rock casually now....

PERIOD.

JB's agenda...

Quality<_________

We all know or assume at least, that quality has gone down due to the simple fact that JB is still making millions of dollars no mater the state of quality onrecent retros.

It should be the other way around but the variant quality= more money theme at JB is just out of control. You can barely even rock the newer retros casuallywithout having paint chip and all that crap, let alone trying to hoop in them.

when you guys say the paint chips off and all this, is it by just wearing them a couple times like casual or do you run or do stuff with them.

i have some new retros but they took really long to start chipping. probably like a year of wearing them casually

^^Aqua's started chipping on me EARLY! Thats why i sold my pair...

I cant deal with it, thats why the only pair of current jordans i own are the Carmine VI's. Everything else is pre 2004.

My 2000 AJ metallic V's are TANKS! I can rock them everyday and they still look fresh

. No wearability problems.

^^Exactly why I'm getting rid of my Aquas...

I really don't want to because they are a great looking shoe. I havent even worn them yet. Im thinking about getting rid of a good amount of my Js becauseI hardly even wear them and when I do I want them to look nice not beat up after 3 wears.

basically for me i look for certain things in old jordans to know they will hold up if i buy them. i have a lot of old j's that are deadstock and by theway it store them i know they will hold up when i wear them.

as for the new quality issues i am forced to double my stock and buy a second or third pair cuz i know that after only a few wears these things are gonna lookwack.

i like j's enough so i do what i have to do and take extreme care of old jays and spend more on newer ones to keep looking fresh......

i know what you mean
i used to think shut up about the quality but when i got the cdp XII and compared to my og taxi i finally understood what you all meant
the way they make the shoes really is pathetic
the quality is horrible
paint chipping shouldnt happen when youve worn your shoes twice

Don't get me wrong, I love Js. Main reason I came to NT. BTW, you have my grails in your avy

What's the point on doubling, tripling etc....on newer retros knowing that after a few wears you have to break out the next pair just so you can have afresh pair? Im not ballin like that, and even if I was I don't think I could do that. If that's some peoples logic why not buy 10-20 pairs of the sameshoe so you can be set for 10+ years?

IYO, it's a different outlook. IMO it is the same topic and you stated that this is basically a post about quality.

i rotate my j's and clean them after every wear so they stay looking clean longer. i bought a few extra pairs of mars, v's fire red, aquas, etc.

for instance the aquas look ashy pretty fast so i only like to wear them on special occasions and once they start to look ashy they get demoted to beaterstatus and use the newer aquas for special occasions. same for the mars iv, they lose shape quick so i treat them the same as aquas. if i love the j'ssoo much i like to have an extra pair cuz i know i;'ll be rockin' them alot. but mostly i just rotate the waring tim for my j's......

i wear a size 13 and i dont even weigh 180 pounds. so i can rock some ds 99ivs and be just fine. i just throw force fields in the toe box and im straight.
