I don't mind these topics because I feel the more we put it out there, the more JB will see it. If we acted upon it and stopped buying their shoes,
they would probably do something about it imo, but that's easier to say than do...for me at least.

its weird sometimes how one sneakerheads collection is unaffected by the elements listed on this post and others have horror stories as to the demise of theircollection no matter how well they store em. enjoy your kicks whether its 99 or 09 retros. you CANNOT prevent whats comin (yellowing, chipping , cracking etc)so either find a way to reverse father time or shut up and rock em while you can.

Yeah I seen beaters on ebay with soles intact and DS OGs plastic wrapped with soles falling apart.

i guess u would have to leave it to yor better judgement. depends on wat u wan do wit them, as we know some pple like to cop and put em on ice. others like torock em here and there. figure out which kinda sneakerhead u are, then set some standards based on that

i think anyone knows that collects j's that the quality is bad today compared to the last great batch of retros in 2000 and 2001. it doesn't take agenius to compare their older retro's or og's to the current releases within the past year and see the differences. i've gotten to the point wherei won't even buy a newer retro release unless it's something i know i can't get anymore due to the age of the shoe like white cement iv's. somepeople store their collection very stupid like plastic bags, plastice wrap, keep their shoes on display, etc. then they decide to rock them one day and b*tchand moan when their shoes start to crumble and fall apart.

Im not talking about storing them. Im saying a VNDS pair from the past, looks better/holds up better to a recent retro. It should be the other wayaround.
Imagine all the people that are going to save their '07-09 retros DS until 2015. I think the shoes will disintegrate in the box.

i bought two pairs of the CDP III's and CDP IV's because they are my favorite J's.
I keep one pair of each DS and rock the other.
The reason i did this was because once the first pairs become worn, i can unDS the second and have a fresh pair to rock.
Both my III's and my IV's are in great condition though and they are probably the j's i rock most (2-3 wears a week easy)
Everytime i wear them people think they are brand new.
By the time they become worn out, and i unDS my second pairs, will they crack easily then?
because by the looks of things, that wont be anytime soon.

Are they suppose to turn ashy really quick? I wore my CDP IV's once and now they look ashy as hell. Did the 99's do that? I doesnt make sense. But Itoo make sure that the shoe is clean before storing it back up.

i agree. we dont need them posted everyday, but its good to have quality threads pop up every now and then. hopefully jb will get the messagethat we do notice, we do care, and that they should at least make an effort to give us the quality that we are paying for.
