Ummmm since it seems like no one care to click the link.... Ill just paste what was said.

"Warning: Extreme controversial topic ahead… With 2008 behind us, how many of you guys are concerned about the future of the Air Jordan brand? With thenumbered series (Air Jordans 1-23) past its final releases, what can we expect? We have already had a few glimpses of what is to come:

* Air Jordan Fusions (Air Force 1 x Air Jordan)
* Air Jordan Hybrids (Air Jordan True Flights, Air Jordan 6 Rings)
* Air Jordan 2009 (the so-called Air Jordan 24)
* Upcoming Retros

Is the sneaker community buying it? There seem to be much debate and mixed feelings regarding the road map Air Jordan brand has decided to take. As for the AirJordan Fusion, some OG collectors don't even regard them as a form of Jordans. While others who enjoy the idea, hold them to be collector items. One thingis for certain, the Fusion concept has definitely boosted a new crowd of Jordan fans to the shoe game. Whether you are a newcommer or a OG sneakerhead, onething is for sure, the fusions are definitely hurting your bank account. With the wide array of colorways released in such a short period of time, one would bea fool to try to collect them all.

The initial release of the Air Jordan 6 Rings Concords and Air Jordan 6 Rings - Black / Red caused a stir up but then lead to a steep decline in demand withthe release (present/future) of some ridiculous color-ways (Championship / Team Colors). What is it with Jordan Brand trying to release one model in 15different color-ways within 6 months? Back in the days, collectors often found themselves saving up for the next Jordan release (often 3 months apart). Nowdays, it seems like most collectors are passing on most of the releases. Is the Air Jordan market too over-staurated?

What about the Air Jordan True Flights? Some love the idea of a supercharged version of the Air Jordan 7 while others are filled with groans. Some collectorson sneaker forums even blatanly label the Air Jordan True Flights as "fakes" and "wanna-be". Definitely not a good way to debut in thesneakerhead community. Meanwhile the crowd that cheers for them can't get enough. With the release of color-way remnicsent of the Air Jordan 7 classiccolor-ways such as the: Air Jordan True Flight - White / Court Blue, Air Jordan True Flight - Cardinal, Air Jordan True Flight - Black / Varsity Maize, arecollectors going to give in and get their hands on them while they can?

The Air Jordan 2009 is the supposed replacement of the Air Jordan 24. After the discontinuation of the numbered series, every new Jordan will be namedaccording to the release year (Air Jordan 2009, 2010, 2011…). The official unveiling of the Air Jordan 2009 went smoothly but are the Jordan fans sold? Is theAir Jordan 2009 just another Jumpman looking pair which looks like the Air Jordan 23? It's still a little too early in the game to call out the fate of theAir Jordan 2009. With only a few color-ways floating around the net, the reponses have been filled with undecisivness. Time will tell…

One thing is for sure, whether you are a new collector or an addict, there is no way that you can pass up a Retro during these times. With the bombardment of100s of color-ways of fusions and hybrids, there is only one way to stay true and safe. Collect OGs or Retros!" -KicksOnFire.com

i think jb is definitely od on the amount of shoes they release now, that's what they should look at fixing. the more they supply the less demand we have,and the pickier we become about what to cop. they end up sitting on the shelves. cdp's shouldn't have existed, the pack concept killed the idea ofretro's for a lot of sneakerheads. jb will never die because they can always release a super hyped shoe in a terrible quality and it will completely sellout due to ignorant people who beast over hyped-up shoes.

That pic up top would be so much better if they took those stupid Dubz and Spiz'ike trash off.

After reading this, you almost get the feeling that jordans will stay around for a while now...i mean look at the fusions so many people hate them yet italmost seems like more and more of the younger generation cant get enough of these...me personally arent a big fan of the fusions, but they seem to be here fora while to stay...what i would love to see is the quality go up in the retros that are bein released. but hey this is just my opinion...

JB will never die. Even though most of us complain about these Frankenstein j's people still buy them. JB will continue on for a long period. Jordan is oneof the biggest icons ever and I belive as long as basketball exists JB will also be by it's side making tons of money. LONG LIVE JB!!!!

ima just continue to do what i have always done... ignore and not even acknowledge what i dont like and cop on the retros that i like.

I completely agree with you, all you sneakerheads should not buy any new crap and focus on the older retros you missed out on.

to understand this u need to know what your dealing with. YOUNG DUMB CONSUMERS. the Jordan name has been carried on so well be OG buyers the youth of todaythink jordan means good/popular/wats in style, so its bought, not carring of quality or substance. (JB =A+ in marketing) youth buy jb cuz its JB not cuz itsgood product. they can put out a horrible version of an xi or a shoe that looks like an xi and it will sell because they base their opinion on "watsin".EX. older rappers(BUN B) reference JB because they know it targets a younger, more influential audience.

hmmm interesting article! I DISAGREE THAT CDP SHOULDNT HAVE EXISTED!! JB is messing up but the cdp gavepeople a chance 2 catch up without paying 500 a pair for og's. Fusions and ugly colors are killin JB not cdp. Dont buy new J's catch up on your faves n classics!!!!

I don't know about dying, but I see its popularity declining. With the way the economy is, I think people will start to put more emphasis in quality overdesign when making purchases. Not only that, but we're in 2009, next year we'll be in a new decade. With the new decade people will try to break awayfrom things associated with the previous one.

interesting find and good article but you really need to change the title. there have been alot of topic like this and everytime i see one, i think Jordan isdead, maybe its early and im not fully awoke.
