Official Nike Breast Cancer Thread - Volume It deserves its own Thread

Hey Everyone.

I thought since the Highly Anticipated Breast Cancer Release in Honor of Kay Yow was upon us, we could use have a thread dedicated just for the Blue Chip,Hyperdunk and any other product coming out for it.


If the Mods or Admins think this counterproductive we can knock it down. We can remove this after the release if it is not wanted.

I hope everyone involved in this release chooses to treat it like a release where those who have been affected by Breast Cancer can do their party by getting apair whether it be Blue Chips or Hyperdunks.

I hope resellers don't mess this up for the masses. Better yet, I hope Nike doesn't let resellers mess this up for the masses.

that's how i feel, but we all saw what happened when the LIVESTRONG campaign first started. i thought it was terrible that ppl were slangin the rubberbandson ebay for $10-$20 when all stores ran out!!! i'm glad that nike mass produced them after that to shut down those homers!!!

Called HOH today. First they said the release is Saturday, then they said the release is the 1st. I was like the 1st is Sunday. He's like "oh, wellits sunday then". Then he said they will be doing a line up the night before and giving out tickets. This sucks, I think I am gonna give up on these. Theyarent worth all that hassle when I live 3 hours away. I am not gonna go get a hotel and spend the night just to get these. It wont even be worth looking atebay for them cuz they'll be bringing 800 at least the first day.

Damn and I was going to be in NYC this weekend until other things came up. As you said, no point in even trying to cop on ebay.

Has it really gotten so bad that the people who miss out are the ones that are genuine supporters? The only way I'll pay over retail is if the sellerdonates the funds straight back to the cause.....and we know that's not happening.

I don't talk about my personal life at all, but my mother was diagnosed with Breast Cancer three years ago, and was caught very early and went through allthe treatment. I don't like the shoe, just love the cause. If i can help anyone affected by Breast Cancer find a pair, I'll even be willing to wait inline at HOH-LA for you till you get off work. Breast Cancer is a very serious cause, and I'm getting a little watery eye writing this...sorry...

too true, i hate how it's going to happen with these the same way it happens with other releases. some of the pairs really should've beencollab'ed with ebay and released early in a slightly more limited edition auction in order to take away from some of that reseller market.

Unfortunately, I don't think the re-sellers care about the cause of these. All they see is LIMTED SUPPLY = HIGH DEMAND = $$$

Damn shame.

This is a good cause and nike should know better that resellers are on this and will make a mockery of the cause, so nike should really produce satisfyingamounts to combat the resellers and give those who want to contribute to the cause a chance.....shame on resellers!! they will go to hell for this one if theytry to capitalize on charity...have they no shame.

I think a bigger statement against resellers and these charity kicks is to NOT BUY from them because we all know your money isnt going to a good cause at thatpoint! let them pay and have their funds go to charity but dont buy from reseller thinking its still for a good cause because that good cause wont see a dimeof it, you are better of donating to the charity directly at that point.

^^ The sad thing is. Not only do you have Resellers who will want these but folks who think its "cool" to have them and have no attachment what soever, and buy from those same resellers.

That is what is the losing battle. Lets just hope Nike buts them up in plentiful supply like they did last year with the AF25 and hinder resellers. SometimesNike may not re-do something if they see no benefit in it. Hell I don't even know if this release will go to support Yows foundation.

Man I wish this release wasnt gonna suck so bad with such limited numbers. I would love to buy a pair for myself and then be able to get a pair to run a 100%charity auction with all profits going to the cause. That would screw the other re-sellers and probably generate a huge donation to the foundation.

I don't know what the total amount produced is, or what each HOH is going to get,
but I hope it's a decent amount damn it.

I asked a HOH employee,
and he didn't know anything I already didn't know.

Just said "they're extremely limited, and they are releasing shirts"
I knew that already though.

hope I can be successful some how, not paying resellers a dime though.
