Resellers are your best friend when they have something you need at a price you're willing to pay, but then you $#it on them the moment they post something for a price you disagree with (usually for a shoe you already have or don't even care about... so what difference should it make?).

And let's not forget all the people who don't live anywhere near any of the Niketowns or House of Hoops who really wanted these shoes. How are they supposed to get their hands on a pair unless a much maligned reseller decides to buy them and post them on ebay? What's the kid who lives in the middle of Kansas who's mom died of breast cancer supposed to do to cop these? Buy a plane ticket to Chicago and camp out? Try thinking past your own selfish little world and consider that without resellers many people wouldn't be able to cop rare shoes AT ALL (including these).

I personally love resellers... they make it possible for many of us to participate in this hobby on a level that wouldn't be possible otherwise. So what if they make a profit... get over it.

Wow, how could I be so wrong. I never realized what a great service you provide to the shoe community. Thank you for your dedication to
100%+ markups so the little boy in Kansas can support his mother.

First of all, I don't consider myself a reseller, so you're directing your hate at the wrong person. 2nd of all, once again you're being selfishor just plain ignorant if you think they don't provide a service to the sneaker community. Believe it or not, there are people who have no access toanything decent (check the eggplant foamposite thread if you don't believe me), and they rely solely on ebay for all their shoes.

And have you never bought anything off ebay before? If you have, then chances are you've bought from a reseller. HYPOCRITE.

i ain't gonna lie. i don't know anyone with bc.. i just like breasts and wanted to hoop in pink shoes.

seriously though, if nike really wanted to support the cause, they could have done a lot better.

If you are heading down for pairs for yourself and pickup a few extra your gas is already spent. No need to pass along your "gas fee" on every pair.If you are heading down with the sole purpose of reselling then why bother even going? People can get pairs from members or friends who will hook them up for ahonest compensation. These for example I went to HOHLA but I only got there at 5am which wasnt early enough. I missed out on a pair but was also going to seeif I could hook up 3 other NT'ers at cost.

To answer your question, yes. I have picked up pairs off of E-Bay but its not due to my location or my lack of effort. It's because people choose to make aliving off reselling and are able to camp out for days when I have a career and can not.

I have no problem with a reasonable markup but you're "reselling" your BC HD's for 110% markup. Excessive.

^^^^ True...Mugen EP was going to help me out...I offered him gas money, food money, etc....he said no....he is a good man...

Markups are fine....working people and doing it on these shoes is not.....

I don't know how you consider me a reseller. You don't know me or $#it about me. If its because I'm selling a pair of these, then you'remaking a huge assumption, so let me clear that one up now. If I want my true size in these, then I have to turn to Ebay to cop them from a reseller. I'mnot mad about that, its just the way things are. They put in the work to get my size 10.5 and all I was able to come up with was an 8 b/c I didn't havetime to camp that day. So I bought what I could, and unlike people who buy the wrong size and then try to trade for theirs, I figure its easier to just sellmine for the going rate and buy my correct size off ebay. Hope that clears up your little %@*umption.

See I appreciate the resellers because I know that without them I wouldn't be able to get my hands on these even tho I live in a city that has a HOH. Sowhat do you think they're doing for people who live nowhere near one. Not every sneakerhead is on Niketalk or knows people with access to every shoe theywant and are willing to hook them up for free. There are thousands of people out there with no other way of copping many of the shoes they want other than toturn to ebay.

Once again you sound ******ed. If I'm gonna spend my money on an extra pair of shoes for someone who I've never met in my life I'm not gonna justgive them to them for no markup. If you do that, then hey do you... you're a very generous person. But for my money, I'm gonna need a little extra, otherwise its not worth my time, money, or energy. Not to mention I still have to get the shoes to the person (either meetup or by mail)... I mean shoesdon't just teleport themselves.

You say you've had to resort to ebay before. Its not because of resellers tho. Its because of hype. Even if resellers didn't exist (which wouldnever be the case when there's little supply and high demand.. but lets just say for the sake of argument that it was illegal to resell), there's stilla good chance you wouldn't be able to get your hands on a lot of the limited releases that are highly sought after. Lets take the Jordan XX3 premier as anexample. Do you think that you would have been able to get your hands on a pair of those at retail on the release date even if resellers didn't buy any ofthe pairs? I doubt it. If you did, then it would be pure luck and for everyone who did, there would thousands who tried but failed.

Or take today's Eastbay release for example. I slept on it (literally). If resellers didn't buy any of my size 10.5's I'm sure someone elsewould have. But thankfully there are undoubtedly resellers who got their hands on some and now anybody willing to pay the going market rate can get theirhands on those pairs, including me. You can hate them all you want, but the fact of the matter is, they're doing you and I a great service.

Another example is a shoe that maybe I slept on in the past or didn't have the funds at the time to cop. Because of resellers, I don't have to chargea pair of shoes to my credit card knowing I can't afford to pay it off immediately simply because I don't want to miss out. And I don't have tobuy a shoe that I might be on the fence about b/c there's a chance I may want it at some point down the road. I know that they will be available for therest of the year (at least) in abundance on ebay. Perhaps for a slight markup, perhaps not (depending on the shoe I may even be able to get it below retail). But I can rest assured that it won't be totally inaccessible to me. Therefore I don't have to stress about it, I can just cop them when my funds areright or when I decide I need them.

But hey, maybe I'm biased because I buy a ton of shoes off ebay. I rarely pay high markups either, unless the shoe is particularly old or rare, whichisn't often. But I'm sure that many of you people hating on resellers frequent their services as well. So again, hypocrites.

Okay can we get back to the topic of BC hyperdunks..y'all are arguin like high school boys and girls..and trust me..it's the truth..i see it everydayin the classroom

yeah. i didn't want to take the chance of the order being canceled.

Seems like these are popping up little by little by in extremely limited quantity of course

these may be sized in Men's but seems like it's not Nike's target to please the male consumer...these sites are only receiving up to 10.5 which area Women's sz.12, so maybe they're made in Men's sizes but are really directed for the women which is understandable
laugh.gif
guess its good to have asmall to average size foot with this release
laugh.gif

my eastbay order still says OPEN (should've taken that overnight), it better not get canceled

i'm not buying these, but i hope all that want them, get them. nice shoe and for a great cause. too bad nike didn't step up to the plate.

I actually saw these on footlocker.com last night but they were all sold out then. footlocker, eastbay and champs all work from the same warehouse and productdatabase so when they hit eastbay yetsterday they were also on footlocker. Champs however never showed them available.

FTW!

Yo Marley,
I saw the same thing last night, they were up on Footlocker.com with the same size run as eastbay,
but you couldn't add nothing to your cart...

So were they really up or were they not...?

Nike is an offical sponsor of the Kay Yow Cancer fund, as you can see on the website. Which I hope everyone gets a chance to visit.

http://www.wbca.org/kayyowwbcacancerfund.asp

On the surface, the $2 per item sold given for the initiative does look bad, but Nike dedicates many other funds, as well as providing all of the uniforms andshoes to schools in order to raise awareness for the cause.

I will never sit here and praise Nike for their generousity and great execution of charity shoes, trust, but they are doing something, and there are pairs inmost sizes that people can still get at reasonable cost. Unfortunatly the demand for these really only lies uppon resellers and basketball fans, who are alsosneaker fans, who may have been directly affected by this disease.

It would have been nice to see more sizes and a couple hundred pairs, to slow any reselling, but the blue chips are still a beautiful shoe, attainable byanyone on eastbay and NDC. They have not sold out.

The $2 thing is not a good excuse for reselling. And Niketowns do phone orders, which is how I got a 7 and a 7.5 for my mother and her best friend who isbattling the disease.

So reselling from NikeTowns and buying on eastbay or NDC to resell is truly in poor taste. Your not helping somone in Kansas who could have access to theseshoes.

HOH with 50 or so pairs between the 3 is the only place that was inacessable for most.

And I would not take issue, except that an individual with a 10 and 10.5 from Nike.com turned town a $400 offer for both pairs of his shoes. When there is noway he will be getting any more than that, because he wanted to let the auctions run their course, in hopes of getting the $250 and $280 BIN prices he wanted.I hope the individual who offered him got his pairs of eastbay.

I have never praised anyone who resells, nor supported it. I have however camped out and made tons of phone calls in order to secure shoes over the years. Ihardly get hooked up, yet im happy to get those I know shoes at cost whenever possible.

Theres no justifying trying to squeeze pennies on these.

I got my size 9 yesterday thanks to whoever posted the eastbay link.

I will sell these and ALL the money will go to charity/hopistals

F nike. $2? smh.
