Carbon Fiber?

11s and every pair of signature jays after those has some type of CF plate in them. MJ actually credits the 11s for his career lasting as long as it did.

The XV, XX, and the XXII beg to differ.

XIV did not either in certain colorways

"The Air Jordan 15 Men's Basketball Shoe has taken the superior performance elements of the AJ15 and created a shoe that goes above the expectations of today's high-level basketball player. Combination of synthetic leather and leather are woventogether in order to create a stylish yet lightweight upper that provides support and protection External and molded heel counter provide stability in heel Aspeed lacing system with innovative vents on the upper make for a high-performance fit Full-length Phylon midsole enhanced with Zoom Air unit in the forefootand Dual Density in the heel for unsurpassed comfort Solid rubber outsole, multi-dimensional herringbone outsole pattern enhances stability and traction forquick cuts Combination of shank plate and solid rubber grooves extend through midfoot addingstability in key areas"

"The specs on the Air Jordan XX are insane, and since its Jordan Brand, you know already they were going to have the best technology. Someof the great qualities are: I.P.S.(Independent Podular Suspension) "pods", internal shank plate, phylon mid sole, and a cool strap to make the shoe feel a little more "secured" to your foot. When the AirJordan XX released in 2005 a total of three colorways, plus a "Regional Pack", (that also contained three colorways) retail was $175.00. Onepair of Lows and 3/4 model released for $125.00."

"The Air Jordan XX2 incorporates several crucial properties providing the athlete with the best fit and protection. The shoe boasts the best ankle historyof any Air Jordan to date. The shoes have a variable speed lacing system http://forums.nikeskateboarding.org/index.php?showtopic=40438#coupledwith titanium lace loops as well as a durable titanium lace lock. Next, the Air Jordan 22 has air vents like the F-22; however, rather than being used forstability while flying at Mach 2.4, these vents provide an escape for heat. The heel on the Air Jordan XX2 is like no other. The diamond shape and extendedheel counter protects even the most vulnerable athlete from a rolled heel. Lastly, in the past the Air Jordans have had a carbon fiber shank plate to providemidfoot stability, but for the Air Jordan 22 the shank plate is made of titanium. This shank isnot only stronger, but also lighterweight. Oh yeah, the atomic number for titanium (Ti) is 22."

"The Air Jordan XIV basketball shoe has a full-grain leather upper with added EVA reinforcement. Internal lacing system provides added support. One pieceinternal shoe lining for seamless effort. Phylon[emoji]8482[/emoji] midsole with strategically placed wraps that lock the foot over the midsole platform. Air-Sole[emoji]174[/emoji] unit in theheel and articulated Zoom Air[emoji]8482[/emoji] unit in the forefoot. Molded EVA based sockliner with urethane inserts. Lightweight solid rubber outsole with large herringbonepattern adds maximum traction. Composite shank plate offers added stability and support."

Shall I continue?

I saw the word plate four times and carbon fiber once which is the one that matters more than plate.

i play with my low top 11s and they do pretty good on the court its light, supportive, cushion and nice feel and traction!

Allow me to take you to school. All signature jays are made with some type of plate. The plate is added to the sole to reduce impact and stress on the foot. Some are carbon fibre while others are made from thermoplastic urethane. The reason for this is because CF is very costly. If the plate is exposed for showor design, it is made of CF or thermoplastic urethane then painted (paint cost money too), or in the case of the XXII, dipped in titanium. Bottom line, nonehad a plate before the XI and they all had a plate after. It was a component MJ demanded.

Well maybe not all CF but from the 11s on up, they all have a plate to take stress off your foot.

That is the first time I have seen someone discredit their own argument.
