I spent $125 on tickets and blu ray discs for this movie.
Might even go see it again

OD, imo.

But do what you like!

It wasn't overhyped, Batman's success is the product of brilliant marketing.

Movie is enjoyable, and a classic.

A lot of people on that "overhyped" bandwagon really stopped themselves from enjoying a truely great comic book flick going against the marketinggrain.

Not sure what the actual resolution would be but IMAX film is MUCH larger than the film normally used for most other movies.

The 35mm film used in others is what would be creating the Blu-ray picture on most films... IMAX film is about 10 times bigger than the 35mm film... whichgives it much more clarity and detail... this also allows it to use the extremely large screens... if a 35mm film were stretched to fit an IMAX screen thepicture would be distorted.

Obviously when this is scaled down to a Blu-ray disc to use in your home, its not going to be the same visual experience as watching it on such a large screen.

The intent of IMAX is to dramatically increase the resolution of the image by using much larger film stock at a resolution comparable to about 10,000 x 7000 pixels (70 megapixels). To do this, 70 mm film stock is run "sideways" through the cameras. While traditional 70 mm film has an image area that is 48.5 mm wide and 22.1 mm tall (for Todd-AO), in IMAX the image is 69.6 mm wide and 48.5 mm tall. In order to expose at standard film speed of 24 frames per second, three times as much film needs to move through the camera each second.

to put it in perspective, typical film stock is 35 mm. substantially more information can be put on the 70 mm stock

the movie was not over hyped and it was a great but i seriously don't understand how some of yall can watch this movie so many times.

i seen it the first time in theaters (a few days after it released) and it was amazing
i then went to go see it again about a week later to catch all the stuff my friends and i discussed that i missed
when it dropped on dvd, i copped tried watching it a 3rd time and i literally fell asleep. the 2 hours stretched out and felt like 6. i packed the movie awayand promised myself i wont watch it for at least a year

i swear NT has the rare ability to OD on everything

I already saw it in IMAX the first time around so I won't be seeing it now. I also just picked up the Blu-Ray anyways.
