Which PS3 Title To Get First?

Getting a PS3 soon, unsure of what my first game should be. I know theres a PS3 thread but everyone in there is talking about COD4 and not helping.

Also which would be better? College Hoops 2k8 or March Madness 08? I'm usually a 2k player for NBA but this would be my first NCAA game.
 
get college hoops 2k8. if you had read the 360 post, you would know they have michael jordan in it this year as well as 89 other great college teams of thepast

well in all honesty though- ur first game should be COD4. i mean it says a lot about the game the fact that the PS3 thread just turned into COD4 thread.
but if that's not what ur looking for there's going to be plenty other titles to choose from- now is a good time for a PS3.

Ratchet & Clank is out already.
Uncharted is out in about a week and a half.
UTIII soon, HAZE.

Can't help you with the sports titles though, have no idea about them.
be sure to chime in the PS3/COD4 thread when you get your PS3 though!
 
i would def look at assassins creed, cod4, heavenly sword isnt to shabby, and resistance isnt to bad also. i dont touch sports games they are a huge scamevery year
 
yea i think im goin to get it this year for x mas lol im sick of lookin out for crack heads and still miss them when they come around with one

which 2k8?

as for MM vs CH the only thing that seems to get me is the set up of MM, especially the McDonalds HS All American game etc.
 
COD4, Assassin's Creed, Uncharted, Kane and Lynch, College Hoops 2K8, NBA 2K8

Generally, 2K makes better basketball games.
 
Im in the same situation right now, i just finish coppin' a PS3 and only got some blu rays for it.

I dont know what my first game is going to be but i saw a commercial for assassins creed and it looked pretty good.

Im only lookin' for games that are exclusive to PS3 since i already have a 360 and have alot of the newer games for it.
 
What kinda games u into? I know nothing about sport games but for shooters it seems to be between COD4, Resistance and the upcoming Haze/Unreal Tournament IIItitles. Ratchet & Clank is a fun game, and Uncharted drops soon which is an adventure title. Assassin's Creed comes out this week and its asandbox/stealth game if you're into that. Then there's Folklore for your story/RPG-esque game..
 
Oblivion if you're into RPG's. Best bang for your buck. More than 100 hours of gameplay for 30 bucks.
 
ratchet and clank should be your first game. By far. It really showcases the potential of a ps3 and is incredible to play as well.
 
I'm still using my PS3 :frown: will be getting a PS4 around this summer, don't really game like I used to
