The Japanese copy EVERYONES MUSIC AND RARELY GET IT RIGHT!!!!!!. Listen to their reggaeton but some of their rap is nice but stupid if you speak the language

But seriously, the Japanese are very good at copying the aesthetics of other cultures. This goes for Hip-Hop, Reggae, Rockabilly and many others.
 
Yea Dancehall culture is real big in Japan right now, it has been for a while now actually.

Been like that for a while. The Dancehall Queen was Japanese one year. Her name was Junko.

I would love to go a Japanese bashment one day.
