Please God, let him spit that uzi in the army lining....

easily the best track on the album.
My favorite track changes daily. "The Slave And The Master" is my joint at the moment...No I'm Gangsta, Gotta Eat Rappers...

Stop saying Nas had Consistency, Longevity doesn't equal relevance or Consistency. But NAS is pretty dope but as far as straight spitting and being a thinking mans MC, I'm callign it now Blu will be top 5 dead or alive.

Blu put out more quality music in his first 13 months than any emcee in the history of the game.

I understand the full magnitude of that statement, if anybody cares to refute it please do (not you McFlyy, you've already demonstrated your lack offamiliarity with the artist under review) as I'm sure I haven't forgotten anybody.

I'm not ready to hail him top 5 dead or alive

but I haven't been this excited to see how an artist career would branch out in a long time.

great song, great album but...

Can't y'all, see that he's fake, the rap version of TD jakes
Prophesizing on your CDs and tapes
Won't break you a crumb of the little bit that he makes

It just means you don't understand all the *%!%+$*! that he write

Is it "Black Girl Lost" or shorty owe you for ice?
I've been real all my life, they confuse it with conceit

Honestly... I know this isn't the venue for this statement but !%*+ it as with every Nas/Jay thread...

The more I listen to Blueprint 2, the song, the more I realize Jay didn't really say anything. It was a whole bunch of whinning "Can't y'allsee what he's doing" type !+@@ but no explaination of what he was getting at. It was a WOE IS ME song. He spent the whole damn song talking abouthimself and what he does. Yet people point to it as a diss track, sure theres the

"I gave you breath when _'s was forgettin you MC'd"

and the...

lines but in the grand scheme of things thats extremely weak as far as taking a shot goes.

Just my 2 cents

Stop with the Jay/Nas arguement, just appreciate the best verse of 08 and keep it moving.

and calling him Gay-Z and a aprt of !*%! - A- Fella is? lets be serious

agreed.. Nas's latest effort is a fantastic album

Naaaaah not saying that at all, I was merely responding to the dude who posted that verse.

I just remember when I 1st listened to it thinking that Jay was back at him, only listened a handful of times, then upon listening to it recently it occuredthat he spent the majority of the verse saying why people should be on his side, not attacking Nas. I bought the #@!# caught up in the hype

However to answer the question you presented, I actually thought the name calling on ether was pretty trivial as well.

That song is sick.

I like Jay > Nas, but I'm not gonna lie..... it's mainly because of beat selection.

Yea you right, you have no choice but respect each but you will align based on your personality.

Braggin out front type ~ Jay
Laid back ~ Esco

Aight, good looks for recognizing one of the realest emcees of all time. Nas gettin play on my Zune as we speak. To kind of stay on track with the subject, the producer of the track, Jay Electronica, may I say has been gettin non-stop play since July. Has anyone heard this man spit? He's definitely not playin,he has great substance when he rhymes and his beats are good, but mostly like Queens Get The Money. He's got verses over Madlib, Dilla and his own beats..

...yamika for hanukkah, wish list for christmas, this is the gist of the life that we lead, why? so you can fit in, with the closed minded in the sit ins andget clothes-lined in the id-end, i could care less about a plaque and a bid-enz or get punk'd on tv by my frid-ends. Dont get a ninja wrong, i get temptedby the rewards that all come along wit making ninja songs. but what does it mean if im a muslim and you a jew and because of that alone we dont get along?- JayElectronica, The Pledge

Im greatly looking forward to this man's debut. Jay Electronica is going to be what Hip-Hop needs. The handling of a heart's a very delicate art cuzits paper thin. One irrelevent thought that started out as a spark could be a poisonous dart that leaves a permanent mark thats ice cold in the day and burnsin the dark and makes you never wanna see her face again... love this verse.

Scholars wonder why do he bust, Allah blessed me with a midas touch everything i lay the hands turns to ethiopian gold, shiny and buff i got the firmunderstandin on the minus and plus! BRONX UP!

thats the sound of a profound ego CRUSHED into pieces.....now if nas would've stayed attackin him ala 50 cent jay-z would've been "jaruled"

Nas got him with "Ether", but puttin' Jay on Ja's level is a tad OD...

I just like the fact that I can argue with my friends about who had the best verse on "Black Republicans"...I still bump the hell outta that *@%#....
