How do you know what's a proper size for you.

I'm 5-10, and don't like my seat super high cause my legs are kinda short for someone my size.

fixed gears have a fixed gear allowing you to ride backwards & skid etc. Also the crank is decent but with the cost of the bike your better off customizingyour own.

Good looking my dude. Do you guys ride with brakes at all? I'm curious to see how everyone brakes on these things.

My friend leans over the front handlebar and locks his legs so the rear wheels stops as he's skidding. I know some people just slow their peddling but youmight not stop in time.

And post your bikes too!

Thanks

brakes are regarded as noob but your style your flavor.

honestly, i learned without brakes but it's pretty stupid. get a front brake at least while you learn, after a while it all comes natural.

If you don't have a clue about bikes why are you buying a fixed gear?

Sure, I had one (sold it a couple of months ago) but I am a cyclist and used it for winter commuting and cadence training - not to look cool.

If you want something to get around on you are much better off with a mountain bike with slick tyres.

Note that is true inseam - not the length of pants that you wear. You need to measure from your crotch to the floor in bare feet and use thatmeasurement.

Length of the top tube is the most important measurement though - you can adjust height by putting the seat up or down but you can't do much about lengthwithout affecting either efficient pedalling or screwing up the handling.

It's best to at least sit on the bike if not ride it to make sure it's comfortable.

and i said ive ridden one i just need one for myself bc its my friend 2nd bike i dont anything about bikes like stuff to put on it im not just trying to getaround and yeah i know how to skid stop with and without straps mann

they are the most fun ive had on a bike im looking to have fun while i ride not be lame on a mountain bike

I ride a fixed gear bike. It's my main form of transport to and from school. It's definitely a lot of fun.

I suggest you pick out a frame, not a complete bike, and go from there; that is, unless if you're on a tight budget.
