Correct on everything here, except the timing is a decade off... the original Tallac didn't drop until fall 2003.

And yes, the original Tallac had Gore-Tex, but this "Lite" version does not. That's the only substantive difference, though.

Bunch of Tallacs on ebay as well as NDC...

Works with these as well... both use "Rave Pink"...

I just saw those in footlocker yesterday...they slipped past the radar for me, but they look very nice in person
 
today wearing the tallacs i bought in '05. can anyone confirm if the lites don't have gortex? i might have to pass if they aren't good in minorflooding.

got the black/yellow and the purple/neon on the last 50% they seem to run big might pick up the rest of the colors for the winter. tired of wearing goadomeand asolo
 
these are sick if you actually hike/walk/mountain climb. In WA, I do all that so retro these bad boys!!
