It is. But that's nothing against IWW, Untitled is just an AMAZING album to me.

Lyrically, Nas didn't fall off.
He's the same dude, just with different production, a different mindstate, and a different "concept" of an album.
So yeah, lyrically Nas on IWW = Nas on Illmatic.

I don't want you guys to get the wrong perception.
I love IWW, it's an amazing album. His most successful commercial joint, 'If I ruled the World' is one his best "mainstream" efforts(andbest songs overall)

The Message, Take it Blood, it's a great album.
But at the end of the day, Nas has 3(4 if you count 'The Lost Tapes') better than IWW.

I love Biggie as much as the next guy but LAD is not top 10. There's too much good music. Cut LAD down to one CD and I wouldn't be mad if you said itwas top 20.

Lyrically IWW is not on illmatic's level. Pick any random verse from both and you will see for yourself. There is too much filler on IWW to call it thegreatest album in the history of hip hop (which is what you are doing when you put it above illmatic) I loved Untitled also, and it's my pick for bestmainstream album of '08, but its not as good as IWW.
 
IWW was canned for trying to be too mafioso etc. when it first released, Now it's lauded as a classic.

This disc caught some flack because of the direction Nas took with it in order to get that plaque.

LAD isn't top 10. And IWW ain't top 15. It's a solid album but NO WHERE near top 15 IMO...
 
if IWW was knocked down to 10 tracks like Illmatic it would be just as dope IMO.

amazing album. but its a little difficult for me to say top 15.

After re-listening to both back to back I'm gonna retract my statement of IWW > Illmatic. The only track that has me close to skipping on illmatic isone time for your mind but that's it. IWW lost some of it's luster. It's whatever though. He still got an unreal catalog under his belt. IllmaticIWW I AM Stillmatic Lost Tapes God's Son Untitled SD HHID and Nastradamus are weak points imo. I haven't played a song from HHID in over half a year.That ain't good.
