I haven't seen anything too radical in here.


Fox News has the most viewers because they are the only organization that exclusively courts the right wing viewers. Let's face it, if you only watch Fox News, you're doing it because you agree with their pundits. Other networks may be more liberal, but there are more networks to choose from, thus spreading the viewership. It's like a town where there are only 10 restaurants and 9 of them are Mexican. That one non-Mexican joint is going to do bigger numbers.

lobotomybeats lobotomybeats the poll I posted said they're the most trusted network. Among republicans and independents. That's why I thought it was significant. Of course they're the highest rated but they're also the most trusted. The poll also said liberals trust CNN over MSBNC.

Fox News is also annually voted the least trustworthy in polls as well....which kind of backs my point.

I think one of Fox News' biggest advantages is the fact that their anchors and pundits, for the most part, have been there forever. A growing percentage of the population distrust the media more and more every year. I think loyalty plays a big part in those numbers. There's no turnover at Fox News.

-The local news was actually deemed the most trusted source.

-And like I said before, what is driving the result is that while democrats spread out their trust out much more, republicans seem to trust Fox News way more than anything else.

Which makes sense since the democratic base is much more diverse than the republican

-Independent result is obfuscated because we don't know the share of liberals and conservative in that subgorup.

-You survey only provides you with a headline/talking point, not proof of anything
