i might sound ******ed sayin this, but i've always seen this on mine as long as i can remember.

its just the paint chipping. i would of rather had JB just leave the exposed foam better.
 
Basically if you wear your shoes a few times right after you buy them, you will create pressure points in the shoes and they will begin to slightly bend there.Now since the shoes are relatively new at the time, the paint doesnt crack and the shoes get "worked in". Now if you put them away for a few monthesand bust them back out again, the pressure points are already there, and therefor the shoes doesnt sustain any damage.

Just a thought.

My cements still look fresh from 03 and ive worn them at least 90-100 times

yeah the midsole on mines are like those, the paint chips, oh well, its bound to happen
