i know this is an appreciation thread but how do any single one of you take any of these clowns seriously? the beats are terrible and lets not mention theirlyrics if you wanna even call them that. Clearly there was a misunderstanding on my part. Two posts were reported for sharing music which is clearly prohibited.
I too was confused that Diplomat TDot would risk post count and tenure merely to share music, but the way he presented the link and the fact that it wasreported brought about enough doubt that I banned him and ask him what was up. I checked my e-mail this morning to see a reply from him explaining what was uphence their reinstatement.
We're obviously going to have to discuss this amongst the staff and with Music forum regulars to that we can clarify our rules and find a way to clearlydifferentiate between music being shared illegally and legally so as to avoid this type of confusion again.
Shoot me a PM if you have an opinion on the subject. Seeing all of the replies in this thread, I'm assuming that I should receive a dozen or so.

Did you mean "power trip"? That isn't the case either. There's been less than a handful of bans that I've taken pleasure in puttingthrough and I'm not even sure I could name who they were. I'm not the person that gets emotional over whatgets posted on NT.
man... i cant believe this... holden just wanted to make an example of somebody with the new rule, so he comes over to the Music forum to randomly ban people without even knowing the full story.
this was FREE music, from a mixtape... how do you ban a respected poster with 25,000+ posts over some BS?
Is there a new rule? I missed it. Most of the moderating action I take is done through the post reports we receive. While I may haveaccidentally deleted a thread or two, I've never banned anyone at random. Clearly, this was just a misunderstanding.
And since when isrequesting music?

Clearly, he was looking to be sent the music. In this case, it seems that it was an acceptable case (that's the wrong part).

Anyways I reached out to holden to make sure mixtapes weren't allowed to be posted and he apologized and was a bit unclear as to how to tell a Mixtape orPromo CDS from an album in the posts on here in the Music Forum. I wasn't even stressing really that my name was banned I just wanted to make sure I wasactually in the wrong that's all, what holden DID tell me was someone reported/snitched/rattted on the thread to get me banned.
I just saw it as "e-karma" for what I did to someone who will remain nameless a few years back in the New Era thread when I did the same to him whenhe was coming at me so again I wasn't even stressing. I thought it was him but I've heard many times and seen on here homie is actually a straight upreal stand up dude and he's about his morals and would never do that, there was only 1 more person I had in mind and was confirmed but I'mma just keepit moving and let that twerp continue on his takeover of NT with his posts.
All is done keep it moving and good looks to the homies.
