They were really dope basketball shorts back in the 90s. I guess they closed their store. Here is a pretty interesting article from the Times back in '94.

There is surprisingly nothing else on the internet about the spot. I wish i could get my hands on a new pair. Does anyone remember the spot. They're alittle young in this picture, but the 2 tone Olaf's were fly. Anyone remember the spot?

I had a black/white pair that I wore out as a youngin.

I was so sad when I walked by, and it was closed. That was a pretty bigh part of my childhood. They actually did my elementary teams uniforms.

The quality was

From the article it sounds like the guy was pretty business savvy, I wonder why they closed. Maybe he moved back to like Norway with a bag full of money. Iknow the industry has changed to more technologically advanced fabrics, but weren't the older NBA shorts by champion and Nike way better looking than thecurrent shiny Adidas ones.

I remember my cousin getting a pair of these. I always thought they were called Ola's.

man i use to ball so much in those they ripped...i had like 4 pairs...knicks, spurs, unlv and georgetown colorways

My boys and I were talking about this the other day. Too classic

Right across the street from the P's, the store must have been the size of a walk in closet from what I remember lol. I never balled but consideredgettin' a pair because people were rockin' them casually just like how people rocked pajama pants. They looked comfortable as hell though....

Word, the store was madd small.

And you couldn't see the walls, because they were covered with shorts and jerseys.

Right next to the Associated across the street from Taft.

Those were the days.

used to rock a blue/orange pair with my screen printed replica knicks jerseys in the summer

There is nothing on this guy, Andre Olaf George, on the entire internet, he disappeared. I want to find him and start making these again.

Its not across da street from Taft projects, it was actually in it. I live here. Taft is 2 blocks spanning 112th to 115th street from 5th ave to park ave. Olafwas on da madison ave side in between. And da place closed down cuz of some fire or shadiness goin on wit da africans doin all da work down in da basement. DatOlaf guy was a shady dude smh

They're just generic looking basketball shorts, you can find something very similar to those at Marshall's nowadays. This is a classic case of NT hyping something up way too much just because it was around in the 90's and isn't around anymore.

Actually, they're not at all generic looking basketball shorts. They were great quality, hand sewn, stylish shorts.
