Cutting my own hair... Tips? UPDATE: Im an Idiot Vol. Rasheed Wallace cut

Im bored and sick of my hair so I'm thinking of trimming it today. Any tips? I have all the blades and all that stuff, but what should I do to my hairbefore cutting it? Dampen it and cut against the hair or raise it and cut with it? Thanks.

EDIT: Heres a pic, I'm gonna be walkin around sporting the Sheed cut for the next couple weeks.

I dont even want to do anything fancy, just trim it cause my sideburns get curly when my hair grows out a bit. Wavy hair ftl.
 
Just straighten it out and cut against the hair. Go over it a couple times so everything is even. DONE
 
Hmm, if I were you, then we wouldn't do it. I know there's a lot of people who cut their own hair, but I'm not one of them....I'll leave thatto my barber.

I dont have waves, I just have wavy hair. In between straight and curly, it sucks. I dont think I can cut it down to a dark ceasar, it would look weird.

I dont really want to do much, just trim it a bit and see how it looks. I usually just comb it forward and comb the front up, so I'd even that out andshorten it.
 
Heres a tip: invest in a hat, you might need it the first 100 times you cut your hair.

So the razor died on me.. waiting for it to charge... hopefully it does, or else I'm sorta screwed haha. Not too bad though.

Its a wrap, I went in with the razor at 0 on accident and made a nice little bald spot.... IM DONE

That wouldve been beautiful advice 1 hour ago. I used a rechargable one, and it died in the middle. What kind of razor cant cut while charging???

And you know I cant walk into the barber in a couple weeks like this, its like having an affair. Dude will get all offended. I need to fix this up before Iever go back.
