Did Nike get it right? Zoom Power vs The Six...

Rocky, thanks for dropping plenty of useful information. As always.

I guess the "limited distribution x tons of colorways" approach of the six pays off, but it's getting a little bit too much of everything.

Some releases just don't make sense and if they won't drop Akron somewhere in Ohio... which I am afraid of... well... that would be stupid.

^^ No problem..

Like I said before. The use of someone elses idea's is ok, but when you don't know how to execute them worth a F*** it can hurt you more than it wassuppoesd to help.

I actually like the released VIs better than the original concept. I guess its only because its look grew on me. I never complained about the technology it hadthough. The performance of the VI is great, can't go wrong with full-length zoom and double-stack in the heel.

You could argue whether they got it right on the VIs, but you CANNOT argue that they got it right on the soldiers. Those things are HORRENDOUS. Haven'tliked a LB team shoe since the 20.5.5... AT ALL.

thanks for the scoop.

but those zoom powers are still horrible.

i think those should just all be donated to charity.

I have to say I love the vi for both its on court use (double stacked zoom is great) and its off court appeal. The last couple of lebrons didn't have thatbest of both worlds thing going on to me. The ZP look great also but I don't judge sneakers on looks alone, I would love to feel how it performs.

the soldier 3's look a lot better in different colorways. im actually lookin foward to em.

Its smart of Nike to finally admit the casual looking shoes are selling WAY better than perfomance lines. The 'casual' basketball shoe has good marketpotential. I think a lot of people that buy hoop shoes realize they dont ball nearly as hard or as often as NBA players.

Nike should take it one step further and just release a LeBron 'basketball casual' shoe that most peeps can rock with jeans as easy as they couldcasually ball in them.

Keep the line at 2 shoes, MAYBE lows on the casual summer releases. Flip most colorways on the casual, maybe team colors for the game shoe (his shoes hold upWELL for HS and college players that can only afford one shoe over a season).

Nike can consolidate the soldier line into his game shoe.

Lebron casual releases somewhere around winter, all-star weekend that he can promote their, and have his game shoe release either in fall (opening day) orspring(playoffs).

That joint hurt my feet. I gave em away after one wear. I did this as well with the Lebron II after getting Shin Splints...

Really?

I admit some of the Lows are bad. For instance III and V didn't turn out all that well. But IIs and STs are VERY comfortable IMHO... for casual that is.

Different feet I suspect for different people.

The funny thing is.. before living in Beaverton I visited the campus when I bought my house out there and was going to ball with the fellas but didn't haveANY balling shoes. There weren't ANY size 11's hanging around for whatever reason and Kenzo said I could borrow a pair of his.. I was like OhhhSnap.. Cool.

He picked up a pair of Cool Grey IIs and it took all I had to keep a frown off my face!!!

..But I balled in them and my feet hurt again!!! lol.. But I appreciated Kenzoletting me use them.

What can you say... LeBron has OPENLY stated that the VI is his most comfortable, response shoe of his line... He does like the Zoom Power ( i.e. the OriginalVI) but not as much as the present VI...
Good thing is the VII will have that Zoom Power stealth/low profile to it.....

of course he is, he's trying to sell a product and Nike is cutting the check
its called PR
he's not gonna get in front of a camera and say "well this is the worst sneaker in my line so far... I don't like it"
How often are celebs truly candid?
I don't believe for a second that he really had Nike scrap the ZP, maybe some1 at Nike did but Lebron personally? Nah

Bron has openly told Non Camera NON Media folks.. this shoe is the truth.. PERFORMANCE wise.

We need to interview King James and get the truth out of him... and find out which shoes are best for him.
Glad to know he likes the VI. Thanks for the info.
