Paper Trail just hasn't held up very well at all for me, while I can still play The Recession and enjoy it.

Neither album was good, but you're right about the Recession being better.

L.A.X.>Emeritus>Recession>II Trill>Theater of the Mind>Paper Trail>Ross'salbum>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>Carter III

thought it was a dope year for mainstream hip hop as a whole

Agreed.

Crazy World still gets some play

i dont think so,i hate T.I. with a passion and i like his album better this time around.a few songs from the recession were dope but im tired of dude talkinbout dope

i don't get the overwhelming love for the recession

as a jeezy fan from day 1, it's his most repetitive album yet

most of the beats sound identical even though he broadened his subject matter a bit

paper trail was very well rounded

tip made a mostly positive album without sounding corny

great beats, great singles, great lyrics

if you're looking for an album to bang in the whip, go with jeezy

but as an ALBUM, tip killed damn near everyone in 2008

Agreed...I ain't really been a big TI fan in a while. Seems as if his celebrity grows the softer his music gets.

Really though I think some people on here touched on it. TI's album was just too soft. He definitely has some better quality songs on there with diversesubject matter but the filler doesn't hold the album together well. I'm skippin left and right, while most of Jeezy's album bangs all the waythrough. Lyrically repetitive but I ain't checking Jeezy for lyrics

I'm not saying that was his best work just the last good one he put out, but to be honest Trap Muzik >>
