It's a sad day..... New Air Jordan's Zero Hype

i was some what interested in the Is black/max orange but like Jah23 said, the stores around here had no idea what i was talkin about when i asked about them.Athlete's foot which is suppose to have the jordan contract and get all the jordans in had no idea what i was talkin about when i asked if they weregetting them, so i passed
 
they arent that nice for ppl to pay retail...everyone that likes the sneaker will cop on sale
 
try them on theyre not nearly as bad as everyone is saying. I hated them until i saw them in person but if you put them on you will know why they dropped.
 
There were all over the mall last night, every store had every size, the store managers even told me there were like 5 people at the mall early for release. Healso told me to expect them to be on sale within two weeks... SMH at this release from jb.
 
Hopefully the lack of interest will send a message to JB. We always make legit criticisms, but also admit that since everyone is buying anyway, nothing willchange. If this new "signature" prodcut does not sell, hopefully that will make JB adjust. The price point is just nonsense. If you want aballin' shoe, why not get the hyperdunks, they have great tech and are cheaper. If you want something to rock, at that price you would just buy a retro. Ihope the sales stay weak so JB can learn....
 
its not about the hype,its the LOVE of AIr Jordan kicks,the shoe is too plain for me,maybe t eh nwxt colorway i will cop and due to lack of funds

^cosign brother, ppl nowadays just want the hottest thing out.

that comment made about xi's sittin on shelves back in 95-96 is correct they didnt sell out, some sat around til the xii release.

at the end of the day it's wat u like not wat NT, ISS, or EBAY likes. buy them because u like them and want them.

to all bashing the 2009's they will end up in ur closet eventually, i mean y bash a shoe sayin it's ugly then when they're on sale for 50-80 u copthem when u clearly stated they are hideous

saw this yesterday and was mad unimpressed. tried em on and def. had a thicker/higher feeling than xx's but that didnt equate to more cushion feel. itsjust due to the high heel. detail was eh, quality eh, smoke pipe-esque idsole was eh, box was eh.....super easy pass
 
Not a sad day at all. I see it as a day that JB is finally learning it can't sell terrible shoes at high prices

I'm telling you....for the 2k9, they should have made a very early 90s looking pair just with added new technology. I mean, I know it's 2009, buthonestly 'if it aint broke, don't fix it'. We all know that the Vs and VIs look better than any new design. They shoulda had Tinker whip somethingup.
 
i will admit over the past decade and change from(specifically 97-07) i was a Jordan Fiend but (i cant believe ima say this) but i have officially move on fromJB back home to Nike Basketball. i just feel more comfortable there and they brought the passion back where i lost it at JB after the XX3. im not evem hypedabout any of the limited releases (Gatarade 6, Double-Up Packs) ANYTHING. last year maybe the Gatarage 6 because that my Fav Sig# and i might still copp butthat like a 20%-40% chance now. Im even thinking about selling some of my Jay's jsut becaus etits not there for me anymore and Re-up on Nike basketballproducts (specifically HOH exclusives) and FYI i wear what i get. NOT SELL!
MY FINAL THOUGHT:
Theres just no appeal for me anymore.

Whatever, I got my pair...But unlike many of you, I actually ball in my pair...And the 2k9 happpens to be an amazing shoe with crazy technology! Who cares ifit doesn't look the greatest, it still performs well on the court! And when I rock my pair, I still get people asking "are these the newJ's?"

These look lke straight balling shoes, and I can't wait to hoop in them!

Any new word on the May releases?
 
This is what happens when they have brainwashed the consumer to forget that its really performance first and not the look.
 
What JB needs to do is stop hurting us with the high price"s on all releases,Listen up Nike the country is in a recession cut some slack on the priceinglast year you killed us all with $310 packs and some junk 6 rings at $160 and some other over price junk.Now you wonder why some of your JB"s did not selllook around the price and the quality of the shoes were ugly.Step up to the plate give us shoe heads what we want at a fair price.

I'm with you on this one. These look like shoes that I can really ball in. These with a little more tech should have been the 2K9's!
 
i don't have and i don't want a pair of jordan 2009's

i think when someone like myself who spends thousands of dollars a year on shoes and does not want any of the newer jordan releases this year says alot

but i am sure jordan brand does not care

as there making money on the jordan 1's being released as i see people buying them and also buying 6 rings and the jordan true flights

these are shoes i don't want or need and i am sure alot of us on here feel the same

but where not jordan brands Target customers

where only the niche market


thats one of the reasons i am selling most of my shoes
 
just got back from seeing the jordan 2009 in person. TERRIBLE, TERRIBLE, SHOE. i can't even believe this is considered the signature shoe after the XX3.the look of the shoe is not only plain, but the quality just feels and looks cheap. i wouldn't buy those shoes for 10 bucks. SERIOUSLY.

i have to agree wit u there. to be honest it was gonna take alot for th 2k9's to be a hit. all the odds were against it even if it was a greatlooking shoe. they were prone to negative criticism before they were even thought of being designed.
