You See Yourself Listening to Hip-Hop as a 40 Year Old?

I can def see myself as that old head still listening to rap music and schooling the young kids on the classics when I'm 40-50 years old. No matter howmuch I explore different genres, I always find myself gravitating back towards rap music whether its revisiting classics, or digging in the crates. Hip-hop/rapmusic's been a part of my life since forever, and I don't see that changing much as I get older.
 
Not as much. I used to listen to music for hours a day. Now, with a wife, 2 kids, etc. I basically just listen to music on the way to work or when I have acook out during the summer.
 
Definitely...

I find it weird knowing that some things we may listen to now will be treated as "old school" one day.
 
I definitely will, but I wonder what the new hip hop will be like when I reach that age.

Same here.

But all I listen to is rap so why would I stop with age.

I'll listen to the good rap music that I grew up(no vinnie paz). There is no way I'll listen to the current Hip-hop if it exists. As I grew older,smarter, wiser I just can't listen to this new stuff. I feel like I have to DUMB MYSELF down to rock with it. But mark my words, Hip-Hop is not going toexist in 20 years.
 
I could live to be a 1283470 year old man but when I die, please play Never Change (Jay-Z) at my funeral. That's honestly my onlyreal last wish. Honestly.

some music is just timeless..i'll listen to darkside of the moon just as much as illmatic when i'm 40.
