Finally after a 3 month firing process, I'm close to getting my new job at Hartsfield Jackson, I applied in Feb, took the test in March, had a interview in April, they were only hiring for one position, I felt like a killed the interview, and they said I'd hear something in a week, week later no call or email, I call the director and she basically told me I was the person they were hiring, and that hr would be calling me soon with a offer, 3 weeks go by with no contact. I was afraid to call the director back I didn't wanna come off as annoying, but I called anyway and she advised me that the person in hr handling my paperwork went on maternity leave, the next day I finally get a call saying I was moving up in the hiring process, and that I'd get a email in a day or two to fill out for information release. I've never had a job that checked ALL my history, criminal, work, credit. On Friday some company already called my current job asking about my employment history, hopefully sometime this week I'll get a call with a salary offer.
Has anyone ever negotiated salary? I think the job is going to lowball me the job I applied for was 19-23 a hr. When the woman from hr called she said the initial offer would be be 36500 a year, that's like 1755 a hr. I have 6 years experience and all the training they want me to have in the future. 1755 is for someone with no experience I'm just looking for 41k
