Jobless and Frustrated NTers check in VOL. WE NOT-WORKIN!!!

Man, I'm graduating in a month and this is my biggest fear... so far I've been looking and the amount of jobs I'm eligible for is minimal... so Ican only imagine the frustration I'm gonna be going through in a bit...

gave the best interview and my schedule was completely open but dude gon tell me thattheir needs and mine don't match up.. messed my whole *##! up.. i'm about to quit on this job thing and get me a sugamama

Pookie i sent you a message about Verizon Corporate hiring, even sent you my work email to use me as a reference, but yo %*@ didn't even get back at me.

See, that's why you broke...

Stay persistent my fellow NT'ers. The opportunities are out there. And a special note to college graduates, as much as it may pain you to take a job thatyou may be "overqualified" for, take it. Pride doesn't pay bills and that gap in employment history is not a good look for future employers.

Also, the number one thing I see, DON'T GET LAZY WITH RESUMES. I see people sending out the same resume for job positions that are different (but may be inthe same category). I know you may get sick of tinkering with resumes, especially because creating an initial one is so time consuming, but altering yourresume to fit the needs of a company is very powerful, and worth the extra effort..

damn, i'm about to settle and work at a retail store instead of pursuing my career path b/c i can't land a job.

seriously, I cannot imagine myself not having a job now.

stay up people. as someone said, dont half-a$s your resume. tailor it to the career/job that you're applying for. and remember, one small mistake on yourcover letter and resume will trash your resume in 2 secs or less.

How can't you get in the military? The Army takes everyone. Its not like you're trying to get into the Marines.

I've been unemployed for just a little over a month. Luckily I have a decent savings but it hurts to see it lessen so quickly.

Oh wow. Makes a lot of sense now.

being a teacher is tough....couldn't find a teaching gig my 1st year out of my cred program, but ended up being hired full time when some $%@@ went downwith another teacher
Got laid off though, and again, no job, at least not in my subject....subbing now....luckily unemployment checks are coming thru, and I'm getting a decentamount of days subbing so far to stretch that unemployment fund

Man I am so down these days. I have 3 years of college and can't even find a damn job. I hardly ever even get called for an interview. When I do I think Iown it at the end but never get called back even after following up. Sucks right now for finding a job, I worked for a temp agency for almost a year and hadgood references from the company and everything but they won't hook me up with a job since I had shoulder surgery 6 months ago. Been able to find somerandom jobs to stay hanging out with people but this has to change. I need to find a job and get back in school ASAP.

join the military. I joined the Air Force and it sucks looking at stuff like this but I just had to do something and do it fast. I signed a 4 year contract andever since then. No worries for me. The army will take anybody
