Got offered an internship position from the phone interview I had yesterday. I'll be getting paid $6 more than my current internship that ends this month and there is a high chance that this new position will turn into a full time role. Keep grinding bros, everything will pay off.

I dont think I've ever seen this many people flourish in such a short window. Its awesome to see man.

Thanks Antidope, the crazy thing is the person I interviewed with was so dry I couldn't tell if I was doing well or not so I assumed I did bad by default  guess I was wrong.

Thanks, Fambs.

It was quick in terms of coming to the thread
Been unemployed since December tho :smh:

Sending good vibes out to everyone who is still looking for work

Absolutely!! loving the positive vibes, and success in this thread. I'm still looking for new gigs seems like it's a never ending game. These early morning DMV commutes are starting to seem like one big blur to me lately.

Glad to see positive things going in this topic.

Don't know where else to put this -- I'm in a bit of a rut myself and can't help but wonder if all this is worth it. I feel like I'm just coasting in a job that doesn't give me tinglez.

Congrats to the fellas who are finding opportunities. I am still waiting on the two companies I interviewed for last week. Followed up with both and now I'm just playing the waiting game while applying like crazy to other jobs.

Longtime lurker...

Just finished school, can't find a job in my field right now, but got a second interview for an assistant manager retail gig. Still gonna look for something I really want to do career wise, so hopefully this is just a temporary filler of a job.

Been outa work for two weeks now

Called my old job, filled some forms out and now scheduled for orientation tomorrow.

Congrats fellas. This thread is luck. I quit my old job in November b/c I hated it...joined this thread in about March. Got a job I like a month later. So far so good.

Happy to see everybody shining. Keep it up, keep grinding and don't settle. :pimp:

Haven't been getting an interviews lately. The only job offer I got last month offered too low of a pay so I declined. I'm looking for a help desk job in IT, but I'm thinking of other options I can look for with my degree. Can anyone recommend for a Business degree with options of IT management and corporate management? Also what job searches can I use?

Indeed>>>>>>> I like it because it doesnt let you do that apply through their website thing like Career Builder does, cause I dont think that ever gets seen. Indeed just finds jobs that are posted for you and then you have to go to the companies website and apply.

I feel like everybody uses Indeed, hell I'm on it right now  . Simplyhired is really messy they need to fix the design of
their site. I've had more luck on craig's list than anything. :smh: at usajobs.org what a joke.

I had posted my situation a while back and after about a years wait, everything is FINALLY coming to fruition.

Quitting my current dead end job on June 16th and starting my new one on July 6th. Going to take 2 weeks off and use vacation days to decompress from my old job and get paid by them still.

Gotta go out of town for training for the new job.

Happiest feeling finalizing everything this past Tuesday. Keep your heads up guys and be patient. It'll pay off eventually. Just gotta keep the faith.

It's not ideal, but if you're going to work a job for someone, you might as well work somewhere that doesn't make you miserable/stressed.

I don't know if this was mentioned but campus/university career center website job postings are a very good employment source.
