I once caught somebody typing up his 2 weeks as I was coming back from my break (our registers have access to Word.) I just shook the dude's hand and wished him luck.

1. Um, why did I go to college in the first place?
2. Am I not trying hard enough to find a job?
3. Or am I trying too hard? Is there such a thing when you’re job hunting?
4. Did I choose the wrong field of study?
5. Should I go back to school and do something different?
6. I’m not getting any younger. How many more years can I spend in school?
7. My youth is passing me by.
8. You know what? I’ll just take any job at all. It doesn’t matter anymore.
9. Except that one. That one might kill me.
10. Should I change my résumé so HR won’t think I’m too young, too qualified or too inexperienced for this job?
11. It’s not really lying. It’s more like omitting. That’s different. Right?
12. Screw all of this. I’m going to start my own business.
13. How do you start a business?
14. Everybody’s doing it, so it can’t be that hard.
15. Except it takes money to make money. I have no money.
16. I guess I could be a consultant.
17. Let’s be real: I can barely even help myself. Who’s going to consult with me?
18. Professional Netflix viewer is not the career goal I had in mind.
19. Do my parents resent me?
20. Do my friends secretly hate sponsoring me every time they invite me out? They seem nice, but who are they, really?
21. Is this what failure feels like?
22. This is getting dark.
23. I’m basically being punished for being too well-educated.
24. I just need a way to make some small money on the side until I can get something full-time.
25. Should I get a sugar daddy?
26. Should I become an Instagram model?
27. Do Instagram models earn money? I’m sure they do. Do they?
28. Will I ever enjoy reading my bank statement ever again?
29. I have literally forgotten what making a bank deposit feels like.
30. You know what? Maybe I should take this time to just do me.
31. Maybe this is just the universe’s way of helping me take a break from life to re-examine what I really want.

In the meantime while I still have a job, how should I approach this? Should I call my DM and say, "Hey, so I notice something while looking at applications." Or go straight to my RM? Or just ignore it while job hunting?

Come on, fam. You sound super salty and if you go to your DM with this same attitude, how does that make you look?
This is not something you can control. Start sending your resume out like your life depends on it (because it will soon enough). And do not say anything to anybody.

That's that "after all I've done for you?" woman scorned type of behavior. Don't do any of that as people have already said. I just want to emphasize, so you don't play yourself.
Take looking for a new job very serious and be professional about your exit. I'm not saying be the best *** kissing trainer for your replacement, but don't do the one liner to your boss until you know you're out of the door.
A nice way to stick it to them is get the new job and use your remaining vacation time for an "emergency" if they don't let you schedule pto on short notice, and call in to quit the day before you start working at the new place. I've seen this done and it's

This is the way I plan on exiting for sure. Using my sick time and bouncing, send my pass and keys to HR and I'm out
the door and still get paid for the days I took off. I don't even want to see my managers nor co-workers.

Part-time jobs and their job assessments are mad annoying. Applied to Advance Auto Parts last night for a lil p/t gig for extra money. Kmart isn't working out, they see me as a good worker and are trying to exploit that while letting everyone else not work as hard because they know I'll get it done. Been taking 8hrs to do things I could easily get done in half the time and keeping my nose down.
The company itself is disorganized and I don't know about any of you but I feel that I'm being "led" in the wrong direction when it comes to working for companies and managers (which noone has anything good to say about) don't seem to care about improving things, just skating by.

i got in touch with an administrator at one of my dream universities that I am interested in working at/attending...had a great convo and was upfront about my intentions on contacting them, which i was told that was good because thats what they encourage students they advise to do as well...
i was told to send my resume so they could tweak it, and a list of the types of jobs I'm interested in pursuing within said uni...
its been week but i havent heard back from them, so i feel like i should follow up so this doesnt dry up, but im not exactly sure what to say ? any ideas ?

I would say after 2 weeks, send an email saying that you are reaching out to touch base w/ them about your resume and to see if any progress was made w/ tweaking. Ensure them that you aren't being impatient or picky, but you don't, as you put it, don't want any potential opportunities to dry up

Man this job ish is depressing! I had two interviews with a company. Then next thing you know wham, "Sorry we went with another candidate". This has happened to me on very interview. I ace everyone! So after this last one I asked the HR Manager. "What did the other candidate do that I didn't?" And what could I improve on! They replied back to me saying you it's nothing I would change. You are a great candidate..... Like WTF????????? If i'm great why didn't you choose me?

Probably more qualified, more experience in the type of position, or has certain things on their resume that you didn't have..Doesn't necessarily mean its you or your character.

Take that HR managers response with a grain of salt. Unless you applied for a HR position, they typically don't know ****. They also don't ask the hiring manager why they didn't choose a particular candidate. But, good luck on your future interviews.

Have an interview tomorrow for a job at a senior care home. It's gonna be a group interview, so I'm really nervous because I've never done those before. I prefer 1 on 1's. Any tips?
