like stated above, it all depends on how well you took care of them, most XI's are sturdy, one of the few sneakers that are very well made.

Never seen a pair crack, the only thing that may happen is have the sole come off. And in that case, follow s dubl advice.

They might be. But i had four pairs of ds mid xi's and the carbon fiber cracked almost everytime.

I got a pair of og's that i wore quite a bit, but there was minor sole separation after a while. but they were repared with some gorilla glue and theyre oknow. but i havent been wearing them much at all since then. I think it depends on alot of things like how they were stored, and if they are DS and not brokenin at all then theres more of a chance they will fall apart. You should look for a NDS pair to prevent this from happening because its depressing to watch yourxi's fall apart..

i hope so....i've been seeing a lot of DS OG black/red xi's going for cheap but haven't pulled the trigger cause i like to rock all my j's

matters if they have been worn enough to wear the glue on the soles is firmly bonded to the shoe, other than that there straight.

patent leather might crack easily. I would just buy the '01 Xi's instead....

Same here. All my OG's and retros cracked. Oddly enough, my CDP XI's haven't cracked, and I wear the hell out of 'em. I suppose it's just amatter of time though.
