:::OFFICIAL SNEAKER CARE/MAINTENANCE POST::: (It's back!)

Apologies if I'm in the wrong forum... Are the Jordan 7 hares from 2015 wearable? Thanks in advance.

Yeah you good with some 2015s. My 2011 bordeauxs have some separation and back tab cracking and even they still got some mileage left.

So I’ll be getting some barge cement glue 👍.

Anything special I need to know about some ds og 13s? Separating more on the right pair but inevitably both will completely fall off. I can peel back enough to see the forefoot zoom but no further. I ain’t peeling back anymore just yet.

Any recommendations on tutorials?

Is that a size 9.5 from Ebay Recently? I think I was watching that pair lol.

I've seen some restorers use foam to replace busted airbags in nikes and jordans. They cut a piece of the foam to fit within the space in the midsole designated for the airbag. Any guidance on what kind of foam to use? Have to assume the more dense the better. Thanks in advance.

Is there a thread dedication to restorations?

I've never seen on on NT, this is pretty much it. This thread is helpful but it's all over the place.

They sell Nike Air and Zoom units on Etsy and other places, you can probably find something if you look. I've filled a pair of Jordan 11s from 2001 with clear silicon and they're comfortable as hell. Just remember the original air units aren't that thick to begin with.

When I did my OG penny 2s I used multiple insoles and they are super comfortable.

You're looking for EVA foam, NT used to be the place to go for help with restorations at one time. Now not so much, this thread doesn't move much. I think the site could gain alot from having a subsection dedicated to restorations instead of just a thread

Yes, with limited success…may try another round of it. Thanks!
Yeah it can be a bit of a process to make sure you don’t scuff or damage the foam, but I’d give it a couple more tries and see if you can get the rest. Even try adding a tiny bit of dish soap to the wet part of the eraser.

Used to keep a sneaker cleaning kit back in the day with just some random stuff I needed to clean kicks after wearing them. It’s been a minute but I’m about to put a kit together lmk if I’m missing anything yall consider essential.
Dawn Dish soap, tooth brushes, laundry detergent, magic erasers, small metal picks, microfiber cloths, oxiclean powder, rain and stain protectant, suede brush and eraser. What else am I missing?
