:::OFFICIAL SNEAKER CARE/MAINTENANCE POST::: (It's back!)

what basic cleaner do you guys use? i use the standard footlocker/champssports cleaner. is there anything better out there?

There is better, but I still use the foot locker cleaner 90% of the time. I also have Jason markk but the foot locker cleaner does the job just fine

Midsole=baby wipes/magic eraser.
Uppers=lincoln ez
Inside= lysol wipes and alcohol.
Bottoms= dawn and water. Or ftl cleaner( gel gets stuck on the ridges and takes a while to dry)

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!

My Last Swap for 2013!

The fitment on the Bling IV's were a little different from the other '99 IV's I have swapped. I had to use a dremel on the donors to make the toebox and the heel flush and fit.

Though it isn't pictured, I have deoxidized the rubber sole from yellow to white, removed the built up dirt and grime on the bottom sole, the laces have been whitened, and an all around cleaning on the upper white leather.

Thank you for the wonderful feedback and support.

Been thinking about getting sneaker shields, but I'm not sure. So far I've just been using force fields, and I guess they work fine, no creased shoes but I still have to walk a bit weird in them. If anyone has used these in 4's, 12s, or 11s let me know how they work, and if they're worth investing in over a regular pair of force fields.

They're only 10 bucks I see them selling them at the mall sometimes. I suggest you buy some and see for yourself. I personally use them on most jordans. Some people say they hurt their feet but I feel comfortable wearing them so idk.

Picked up some space jams for real cheap. Previous owner tried to rit dye the soles on one of the shoes (just in a small spot). Just wondering if its possible for this to come out?

I have some og taxis worn twice but since I bought them the toe box seems like it's sinking in. Is there a way to fix this? Both shoes are fine everywhere. It bothers me to see that like if I had applied too much pressure with a finger causing it to leave an impression on the leather.

Nice Repaint on the Shadow IX'S!

Excellent job on those WHITE/CHROME IV'S!

I have some OG HHG 13'S & OG Obsidian 15'S, and the glue is getting brittle....

Seeing you guys put in work, tells me it might be time for an overhaul

ALSO....I've never used force fields AKA Corn Enforcers AKA Bunion Buddies
I usually take a plastic bag & fold it into a square....before I lace my kicks I slide the bag into the toebox
I've used this method for 10+ years!

ALSO...I've never used Jason Markk, Mr Clean Erasers or Footlocker cleaners....
I use Dawn & a clean toothbrush... for stubborn marks, alcohol watered down and lightly applied w/ Qtips

Need some advice.. I have some yellowed netting in my 4s.. I tried retrobrite, some brit whitener but no change at all.. Im planning on just airbrushing the netting with angelus white.

Just need to know if its a good move?
And maybe repaint the whole shoe to bring the white back,,.. This shoe is my tour yellow btw.

I've been using them for years and they are really good especially with the 4 toe box. They also cost the around the same as force fields. Force fields I've tried but never liked they worked in the beginning for a few wears but then would bend up and stopped working. I've had the same pair of sneaker shields for like 3 years with no problems. Very good and highly recommended man.

Has anyone tried to restitch the toe cap back onto the shoe? For AJ III, IV, V
The only time I've ever had to do that is with a sole swap and I'm assuming that's what you're gonna do it for too. I have it's not that hard. Look up restoremysneakers on youtube and look for their vid on restitching. I know they don't show the part where they actually stitch it back to the uppers but it is the same exact method he shows in the video. What makes it hard is you can't see when you're doing it. It requires a lot of "feeling it out" and is kinda time consuming but be patient cause if you do it wrong it'll end up loose and real sloppy. Lmk if you need anything else man. Good luck.

I have had the same problem with paint/dye and clear soles. No luck so far... if you ever find a solution please share it because i am lost on how to fix that issue

Any advice on regluing towards the toe area? I've got some separation on my 10s and can never seem to get the entire toe portion to reglue. Usually the innermost part never sticks, and when it does the rest separates. I've tried shoegoo and crazy glue, looking to try barge cement next.

I wouldn't recommend barge cement. At least not the blue tube. I haven't tried the other type though. I've glued a whole sole with barge cement but the toebox seems to always separate again.
