:::OFFICIAL SNEAKER CARE/MAINTENANCE POST::: (It's back!)

Anyone know how I can take care of this?
Have that same issue on mines. I just left it alone and I play ball in mines. The best way is to strip it and repaint it. You have to find a metallic/gold paint. I knew the name of a good one when I was gonna do mines but forgot.. Wasn't too happy with this version of the elites. Some rain got on it and discolored the toebox and Nike wouldn't even take them back

Angelus Antique Gold was what it was I think. But with painting you may not get a good even finish. May have to mask the shoe and do a spray paint to get it glossy/even

Can someone please help me by telling me how to reglue the toebox of my Metallic 5's. I already know what glue to use.

first make sure that there is no further separation so you won't run into this issue again and this way you can get done at one time. Clean the area real well and scrape all the old glue, dirt etc.. you can use a xacto Nike to get in there, if the area is really small like it seems use the tip of your knife and apply the glue carefully so you won't smear that on the nubuck, just in case have a small rag and cleaner to wipe it off quick as soon as you get on the upper. Good luck!!

Oh and apply some pressure until it holds.

What do you guys think about this midsole? Shall I prep it with acetone and repaint with angelus paint? or should I just skip the prep and do a light touch up. I'm planning on cleaning the elephant print with Jason mark (or would toothbrush and soap be better?)and using angelus paint on the black lines

not bad ive seen some "restorers" with way worse work. before repainting ill use a fine grit sandpaper like 1000 to smooth out any rough spots. did you retape after you removed the old paint with acetone? that may help some of the leakage. you can also try removing old paint with a metal file as too much acetone will destroy the midsole
This...... Retape, and squeeze as much acetone as you can, try using absorbent pads rather than cotton swabs so its not that messy and you can handle tight edges better.. Also Xacto knife works wonder...

For my style of repaint, i usually let the paint chipping get worst and use sandpaper to take the paint out so i don't have to use acetone.. Does not work in all shoes specially the newer ones due to the paint still new and tought to sand... Older shoes just basically flakes out.

the top left lace accent is black and should be cement grey. What is the method used to fix this? just want to get the exact color; if not close as possible?
Thanks

What is the best way to clean the icy bottoms of Air Jordan Infrared 23 retro 6? Water and Soap? Another method? Thanks in advance

Hey guys, so im thinking of doing a little restoration on my forest green 14s. What can I do about the yellowing on the heel piece and the outsole? Should I try sanding it down?

and the green painted midsole, lots of chipped/peeling paint do i hit it with some acetone and sand or what...never done this before so help is appreciated.

Fortunately for you all of the stuff pictured looks 100% repairable. You should scrap off the chipping paint before you repaint the forest green. As for the midsole, toe cap, and back tab retrobrite or some kind of sauce will clear that up in a couple of sessions. Hope I could have been of some help to you

Do you realize that the reason that thing is black is because these are fake?..
