:::OFFICIAL SNEAKER CARE/MAINTENANCE POST::: (It's back!)

will it still work? or do i have to return it
You bought this:
400

When you should have bought this:
400

I'm not sure if it'll work or not, I've never tried that kind. I think your best bet would be to return it and get the right kind

Has anyone ever used jason markk on timberlands? Does it discolor them?

I've done it a few times and they came out looking almost new. My timbs get pretty bad at work. I'll try to do them again and take before/after pictures this time.

Man I give up, my concords still look the same after applying Rit like 8X, I've pretty much followed same process as mentioned in my previous post. :smh:

I have a question about the Jordan 12 "Taxi" released 2013...

I'm a true size 9.5, but due to the high demand in these I was only able to get a size 8.5, which still fit but are on the "a little too snug" side.  I've worn them a few times to try to get them to widen out, but I was wondering if anyone knows how to stretch them out a little bit so I can gain a 0.5-1.0cm on them.

Thanks in advance!
If you are a TTS 9.5 there is no way you should fit into a 8.5 that's just ridiculous. Sounds more like you should be wearing sz9 the whole time.

Sell them and get another pair in the right size.
LMBO. I was JUST about to reply the same thing. It's amazing what people will do for fashion.  Anyway, all the stretching in the world won't get that leather to a 9.5.  Like  @FrankW  said-sell those you have and get your actual size.

So it seems like we've pretty much solved the "secret sauce" issue and it seems like 40 vol creme is the same as all the big names selling it although raleigh restorations MIGHT be a step ahead.

BUT it doesn't seem to be a consensus on the best cleaner.  I've always used lincoln ez cleaner b/c the price is the best, but is there a better one?

Air Legends has one.

Angelus has one.

Jason Markk has one.

Which is the best?  Or is lincoln EZ cleaner still the best?

I thought this was pretty obvious because at the end of the day, they pretty much all have to have similar chemicals. Just one might be more potent than the other, and the thing is that you're only allowed to sell up to a certain % of hydrogen peroxide, etc. in a product before it's illegal, so I mean, essentially if all the products are at that highest % of hydrogen peroxide, etc. possible, they're all selling the same thing or something extremely similar. I don't see a point in spending a lot more $$ on a cleaner name branded product when the generic one (salon care) that everyone uses does the same exact thing unless one of those companies/brands discovered a new way to clear soles, it's rinse and repeat from old methods.

For cleaners, I use Refreshed, but all that stuff is practically the same (Lincoln EZ cleaner might be better for suede/nubuck though). I would be confident in that if you took one of those products and used their cleaner on one shoe, then used laundry detergent/dish soap + warm water + brush on the other shoe, they would both be just as clean or about there.

Exactly, last time I was at local Nike outlet this kid wearing a sandle was trying to pick up sz12's when I stood next to him and looked down his feet was smaller than mine and looks like he should wear a sz10 or 9.

I prefer Jason Markk but its darn expensive...plus it's great on suede/nubuck.

Thats what ive been wondering too, but isnt the Jet Black dye for leather only? Is there a difference between leather dye and suede dye?

If your doing suede/nubuck use the angelus dye...the angelus paints are for leather..midsoles..etc
I wasnt talking about the paint, I was talking about whether I should use Black Suede Dye or Jet Black Leather Dye, seeing as how most reviews for the Suede dye say that it turned their shoe purple.

Sorry I misinformed you..there is a Angelus leather dye. I have never dyed a leather shoe so not familiar with that product as Im just going off what hes using in that video

Another quick question, for restoring black faded midsole paint (like on the Black Grapes) should Back or Flat Black paint be used? Also, would any type of finisher be needed?

depends on how shiny the midsole originally was. I'm guessing regular black. Just add a little duller if you don't like the sheen once it dries and just repaint. Obviously do a small section first. I've got to restore a pair of my metallic Vs myself.

check the back for the ingredients, if the first or second or close to the top ingredient is hydrogen peroxide then you should be ok. remember the higher to the top the higher the concentration of the ingredient, this works for foods as well.

Has anyone ever repainted an entire shoe?  Is that process any different than the midsole other than the added step of using leather preparer/deglazer

?
