:::OFFICIAL SNEAKER CARE/MAINTENANCE POST::: (It's back!)

^ You're doing everything right, it's just that indoor method is incredibly slow, especially if you're just using one bulb. Like tons slower than outdoor method, unless you're using hella bulbs. Advantage is just that you can do it longer and the temperatures are lower so separation is less likely compared to outdoor.

I personally only use outdoor, but no matter what you do, everything is goona take some time.

Start from 8:25 in the vid for info about indoor technique vs. outdoor, but watching the entire vid is also very informative.

Indoor method takes a very long time..11hrs indoors is equal to 1 outside from what ive heard. Why i usually setup prior to bed and check em when i get up next day, clean old off if it dried up, reapply and let go til later that night.

Thanks a lot for the help guys! Repped both of you
Yea if i was you Id go a 2 bulb setup..thats what i use, one focuses on front of sole and 1 on back.
The bulb I got wasn't very cheap, I'm definitely looking into a second but don't wanna spend that much money. What bulbs do you use?

Question:

Got a scuff on my 2014 AJ6 Carmines and was wondering best method to clean up this blemish.  Thanks Fam!

Might want to try just cleaning it first, it might be just dirty.

Yes, that should be fine or you can use detergent/dish soap + warm water + toothbrush and just lightly brush and clean it.

I personally like having it look clean and white, but to each their own. If you want that aged look, then that's also fine.

Is that a plastic piece? Not too sure what to do, but repainting it looks like the only option. Might want to bring it to a shoe repair store and ask them if they know how to do anything or can do anything, but they'll probably tell you the same thing.
Ok so i Cleaned them with soapy water and it is bleach for sure on the tounge. Can I dye it? Also can I use this paint to repaint the orange part of the shoe?

Anybody here stripped their lance mountains all the way to match their pairs up? I'm thinking about doing it or having a local customizer do it. What would I expect to pay to have someone do it for me? I can't get **** done with 2 little kids running around lol

Any ideas on getting the yellowing out? I heard magic erasers work, but because of the stuff infused in it , it just makes the yellowing worse in the long run.

What material is the blue part? Is it neoprene or is it mesh? If it's mesh, you can dye it with liquid RIT. Not to sure how good your results will be if it's neoprene or if it's the powdered RIT version.

how do I fix this sloppy re glue? ive tried goo gone and it doesn't really work. Would acetone get this off?

Working on these Shimizu's for a friend of mine. So far I've removed the creases from the toebox & repainted the white, grey, & black portions of the shoe... Gotta hit up Angelus for a different shade of yellow before I can finish that up. Still need to whiten the midsole as well

sometimes the paint doesn't come all the way off, just acetone the **** out of it and hope that it at least starts to fade, as long as its a smooth even surface after the process you can paint right over it, remember, you will be painting multiple layers over it anyway, you just need a smooth start
