:::OFFICIAL SNEAKER CARE/MAINTENANCE POST::: (It's back!)

I recently used the Angelus paint on my Black/gray 8's and it the color was all off
sick.gif

They were kinda beat so I'm not mad... but it came out looking purplish
That's because you used the wrong materials. I'm assuming you're talking about the Chrome 8's and the material on those is durabuck/nubuck. You're not supposed to use regular paint on durabuck/nubuck/suede, you're supposed to use dye. That's where you went wrong. Paint is mainly for leather.
Does anyone know if Mr Clean Magic Eraser can fix the suede bleed on the 13s? The red is on parts of the white leather and threadings. Never used a magic eraser but considering buying one if it does the trick, I heard good things about it.

EDIT-

Or if there's a better way to fix this issue, thanks!
Post pics for best advice, don't know if this will work for your issue specifically, but you can try if you want. Might also to consider just painting over the bleeded on spots.

What is the best way to remove paint on elephant print 3's, while repainting the midsole i got a little on the elephant print.

please help

Thanks
I think repainting the elephant print is your best option. The removal methods could potentially damage it more.

Sorry for something thats probably redundant, but Im looking to clean up the soles on these 12s. I live in the NE so the sun is a thing of the past for another couple months, so does anyone have some tips on how to rid the yellow on the white soles and jumpman tag?.

Also I'm getting angelus to clean up the white leather. Is the acrylic finisher a must or is the white paint alone good enough? There's no deep scuffs, but it is a little worn.

I don't use a finisher when painting over minor scuffs, scratches, etc. on the uppers.

What's the best way to clean and get dirt off of Lebron X cork outsole? There are a lot of grooves and was wondering the best way to clean the white soles on them?

Thanks

Just got these in from Nike and there seems to be some marks on the patent leather. Any way to clean it? Was gonna try nail polish remover but thought I'd ask first.. Thanks

Magic eraser.. If a standard sneaker cleaner doesn't do the trick.
You just now got them from Nike??

Went out of town had UPS hold my mail
Nail polish remover/acetone should do the trick. Just do it gently or casually with a little scrubbing if it's a tough stain, but not extremely rough or too many times because it can damage the PL.

Just spray that thing down with water + soap or what ever you want to use and then find a way to get the tough dirt, pebbles, etc. out. I think toothpicks are alright for tiny crevices.

Has anybody ever used Meltonian nu-life color spray on jordan 3/4 midsoles? How does it hold up to wear? I want to try something different and spray these instead of using angelus, and ive read good things about Meltonian color spray. Thanks

Used some Lincoln EZ cleaner I had mark came right off thanks. Went on to clean my Lebron 7s and saw a scuff on the air bubble. Is there any way to get rid of this? I've tried using Lincoln EZ cleaner and Jason Markk to no avail.

Bro use this stuff called, "Reviver." This dude on Instagram, screen name: stilldjy1, sells it. You can get off his website www.godofsoles.com and there is other info and tutorials on there. I'm from Iowa and it still works in the winter time. It's not the heat that turns the soles back its the sunlight. If its cooler out even better, no sole seperation. It'll take that yellow stuff off no problems, worked like a charm on my 2004 Olympic VII's. The toe was all yellowish and turned it right back to white no problems. Probably a dumb suggestion but used a magic eraser on the white yellow before you paint it, you may be surprised.

Does anyone know what paint from anglus direct I need to restore the jumpman logo and air symbol on the back of the shoe? The paint faded and im customizing them soon but I need to restore it first.

how do i fix the sloppy reglue?
Might be stuck on there pretty tough. You gotta remove those glue stains ASAP before they dry, it becomes tough after they dry. I think I saw you post about this before and said you tried goo gone and it didn't work? Goo Gone only works for like immediate removal before glue has dried, it pretty much sucks after that. Right now I would recommend acetone, that's the strongest thing that'll help.

I'm not exactly sure and can't provide you a clear answer since they don't specifically have "wolf grey", but they do have light gray, dark gray, and just regular gray.

Now from looking at shoes with both dark grey and wolf grey, the two colors are pretty distinguishable.

Dark Grey / Wolf Grey / Black are the CW's. Can clearly see the difference between dark grey and wolf grey. So that from the looks of it, the jumpman doesn't look like dark grey. That eliminates your options down to grey and light grey. I personally would just go with regular grey although wolf grey does seem a tad bit darker. You could also mix it with some black and see if it makes wolf grey, but I don't think it's that big of a deal.

Here's all three paint options though:

http://angelusdirect.com/products/light-grey-paint

http://angelusdirect.com/products/dark-grey-paint

Also when applying it to the jumpman, I personally prefer to use a Q-tip and just lightly dab the paint on the jumpman where needed. To each his own though.
Can I just touch these scratches up with angelus or do I gotta strip the whole midsole ?
Post some pics, have no idea what you're talking about.

Hello, i was recently repainting the midsoles of my 2012 Fire Red 4s when i noticed that the acetone was eroding the midsole. So i tried putting less pressure and going over the areas less but the paint just wont come off. Any tips or suggestions? Or any tips and suggestions on how to help cover up the erosion when im painting? This isnt the first time ive had this problem and i dont know what im doing wrong, Thanks.

I got a dirt mark on the pink toe and on top of the big toe...toe box area on my Urban Camos, knowing they're light grey it's noticeable, to me, I got the instant cleaner, Jason Mark, and suede & nubuck cleaner, I used the suede cleaner and only sprayed a little, but now where I sprayed there's a ring of where the dirt seemed to spread to, how can I get rid of it? Spray the whole toe area, and circular scrub around the entire toe box?

Hey guys I'm new to NT but i need some help on my military blue 4s that I'm trying to restore. The heel tabs on them are scuffed and i tried using nail polish remover that had acetone on a cotton ball but it didn't work. Also on the wings there's some stain could possibly be a jean stain but it's really tough to get off i also put acetone on that but nothing. Any suggestions?
