Yeah glue stains are tough, gotta take them off immediately or they can be like impossible to get out. I think you posted about this before and I gave a good amount of links, so I'll assume they didn't work.

I think the toe box area is tough since there's not a lot of space to work with, but on the sides of the PL, you just gotta acetone it and it should whiten and crust up, then you just have to scrape it off. This can be difficult because acetone is extremely dangerous on PL, you have to be very gentle or your going to take off the glossy finish on the PL.

It might not even work, some glue stains are just super tough like that. Could also try WD-40.

But yeah repainting is an option if you can't get it off, although it might look not that good since you have to paint over glue.



Also looks like they did use that spray can you were asking about earlier. These guys are pretty reputable so, I guess you can take their word for it.

Yo I'm currently doing a restoration on my military blue 4s midsole and I noticed that the angelus white is way whiter than my shoe. Is there anyway i can make it all the same color OTHER than repainting the whole upper ? (either whitening the upper or making the paint more neutral)  Also what paint finisher do you guys recommend other than angelus finisher? I heard some good things about Krylon matte finish but is there something like it but in liquid form? thanks 
 
Has anyone used the sandpaper method for prepping a shoe for repainting? I'm thinking about it and tired of acetone. Thoughts on that method?

Bad idea.. sandpaper will be too abrasive and shred the midsole, then the repaint will not look good. I use a file to scrape off the paint, but you have to be carefull with that too because its not hard to damage the midsoles. And i dont like using acetone, its too messy and doesnt get the midsoles clean

In my search, I've heard and seen that grit 1000 sandpaper can be used without being abrasive. You are aware that there are different grades of sandpaper, right? I would not have used a file to scrape off paint from a shoe, it's too abrasive. I'll double check to make sure.

The leather on the Military IVs is supposed to be off-white.

theres a blizzard here in new york so hopefully i can finish the paint job by the time its done. the shoe on the left the midsole is the same as the leather but the shoe I'm working on is hellllaaa white 
 
You may want to try flat white paint for the midsoles if the regular white is too bright for your liking. Or mix duller with the paint.

I used the flat white as a primer but it was still kinda bright so ima just try to make it off white with drops of coffee or tea
