:::OFFICIAL SNEAKER CARE/MAINTENANCE POST::: (It's back!)

@Kontraband1911 Try using RIT laundry whitener treatment.  They sell it @ Target and Walmart or online.  Heat it up use some hot water and a tooth brush and get to scrubbing.  May take a few sessions for it to get that crispy white but it works really good for me.

Here's a toughie guys, got a pair of 03 Jordan 1 patents and the patent on the Nike sign is different than the leather on the rest of the shoe. It looks very dingy, if that makes sense. HELP!!!! How do I restore the color?

The only solution I have is to use retr0brite.. The discoloration is caused by excessive light penetrating the outer plastic sealant. With retr0brite, it will reverse the effects.

If 3% hydrogen peroxide doesn't work, then possibly the 12% you can buy at sallys. It's called 40% creme

ok ive seen people using retrobrite with great success and ive done my retrobrite many times for amny hours and my results arent half as good, can someone please PM me the recipe they are using with success, im not making money on this just want to do my own and living in florida i have plenty of UV rays that should be helping.

Man, I kind of feel you. I did some 16's and got great sucess as clear as new but my XI's seem to be way more stubborn! I'm just going to try about a week of 1,1.5 to 2 hour sessions.

I'm getting a lot of progress with retr0briting the Jam's I'm doing. I find it a lot easier to take out the bottom soles so clear the bottoms..

Beaters will live again. Here's an update I'm working on for a customer.

Heel drag is BAADD... I feel bad for the guy, he paid wayyyyy more than he should of.. I'm talking triple digits :/

It seems like the outdoor method doesn't give me as good of results as I'd like, yes the indoor method takes longer but I get much more controlled consistent results. Outdoor I do get separation sometimes but not usually unless it's 80+ outside. I don't mind regluing at all and am really good at it, it's just wasted material though to me as behr cement is very expensive. :/

Damn rough estimate how much time did you put in on those with the retro brite and what percentage of peroxide are you using.  Im using a 40 weight liquid peroxide based solution I picked up from sallys.

True. I feel like when you separate the soles apart from the mid to retr0brite, you get better results in faster time.

The way I look at it, if you don't separate the soles outdoor, you're using more retr0brite in the amount it takes to clear the soles.

If you do separate the soles, you're having faster results. In turn, using less ingredients from the retr0brite. The downside is you will have to reglue the soles again....

I would still prefer having the soles stay intact, but either or, you're still using more of your supplies.

Same ingredients..

Anyone have help for restoring the red suede color on Raging Bull 5's? Along with that can i have help with getting the soles back icy?

Update on a customer's 09 Jams

At least JB isn't skipping on the quality of the adhesive. These seem to be like tanks compared to the '00 Jams.

No separation at all on these guys at 85 degrees outside. 4 hour session every day.

I have a customers 2010 jams (youth) so i believe that is the difference but i don't even think that it's real carbon fiber as it heated up so much it left a black stain on the rubber outsole. It separated in all the normal places and the "carbon fiber" felt almost soft :/

Does anyone know if there is anything I can do about these scuffs on my Metallic Silver Foamposite pros ?
