:::OFFICIAL SNEAKER CARE/MAINTENANCE POST::: (It's back!)

Still having a few problems with the blue tint. Detergent didn't really help unless i'm cleaning it wrong. Actually think the blue stains are the detergent since it became more noticeable

If you feel more comfortable using clear or white detergent then you should try it. I hope you know the color of the detergent isn't a factor in discoloring mesh or clothes for that matter. It's detergent, not a coloring agent. my Oxiclean detergent is blue and I can clean the mesh on my original Concord's just fine. I scrub it really well and I wash it all off with water.

if you're not carefull about how you clean these im pretty sure the blue next to the white can bleed if you use hot water and its the first time cleaning them

Yeah i got it. One of the things i was trying to avoid when i was cleaning it. Just looked at the shoe and there was a pretty noticeable improvement.

What do you guys feel will give the longest life for a pair of jordans? I wear all mine so im not trying to keep them deadstock but keep them from cracking/crumbling for as long as possible.

I see a lot of collections of them stacked in their box and i figure thats the easiest, but do they age well in them?

depends on the materials the shoe was made of, even if you take extremely good care of 3s, 4s, 6s they will still crumble because of the rubber material they used on the midsoles. I clean mine (soles too) after each wear and let them air dry for a few hours before putting them back in the boxes and i dont take the paper out of the boxes but i do keep it at the bottom of the box along with my receipts. I live in florida and have my house kept pretty much room temp or a little cooler at all times and i dont need to use silica packets but if you have a very humid environment i would get some arm and hammer hummidity control stuff and keep it in the closet with the kicks. Dont over use the humidity control stuff or the shoes might dry out as well, all you can do is your best and shoes dont last forever so enjoy them!

Need help please, I just copped nubick 12s for the low and they got a scratch/cut on the tumbled leather any way i can restore that

My brothers friend just bought it. He cleaned my brothers black '99 IV's and white '99 IV's. Look great. I'll try to get some pics. If you check Jason Marks instagram pics, you'll see that he added the pics.

I too have a wide foot and the best thing is make sure your shoes are well tightly laced very snug on your foot ....to start.....our wide feet will undoubtly loosen them up some as you walk but thats about all i know and has helped along with not wearing one pair too consecutively

Does anyone know how I can paint my midsole just like these? I'm not sure if I should use acetone first then paint with angelus paint or what..

Anybody have this issue? My flint 13's have turned pink around the pods. Ive tried retr0brite with 40% and it made it more noticeable. I'm just thinking what kind of chemical reaction started this....

The last thing I want to do is repaint it white.

Hey guys I've been busy working and have realized I've been heavily favoring my instagram since I'm new to IG and I'm addicted lol. Don't worry I haven't forgotten about where I started and grew here at NT.

Here's a clients (which previously were) pair of white cement 3 cleats. He has a big game on ESPNU this Thursday! I literally turned these out in 1.5 days and I've never worked that long or meticulously. With that being said he obviously wanted a breast cancer theme and wanted it to match the Nike BCA elite socks. So with his color blocking and my minor details added and craftsmanship here's what I got....
***oh yes almost forgot, these were pretty worn previously so I couldn't figure out what or how to get out the blue stain you see randomly and mostly on the elephant print***

**** *I obviously cleaned up the pink on the midsole, the jumpan and "air" after seeing them in the pictures.*****
Thoughts? Feedback? Criticism?

yes acetone first, then paint. the acetone not only gets rid of chipping paint (like on many 3's and 4's), but it also removes the layer of acrylic finisher on leathers and other material. it is better for your paint to stick directly on the materials themselves.
