When will Nike Shox die out ?

They need to release more shoes with full length zoom air, especially running shoes. And please make shoes like the Haywards available in different widths inthe future. All of the full length zoom shoes out now are too damn narrow compared to all of the shox runners.

I hope not. Every pair of shox that I have bought has had good traction on the court.

I currently wear the Nike Shox Gamer (VC Edition), and the traction is amazing. I'm probably going to buy another pair for summer league.
 
people that know nothing about shoes love shox. they don't realize air >>>>> shox. they just like them because they look high-tech, with noreal idea how they actually work. nike is great at exploiting the public's undescribable love for them, and i don't see them stopping soon. they justsell well. why put further R&D into something that doesn't work in the first place, but easily sells?

watch this die out, felt pretty painful...
remember my first expensive basketball shoes was the shox bb4... the silver one...
still luv them... really wnt to c some nice shox got retro... wnt them to be in my collection for casual wear~

Lunar foam is garbage. Why? Because they wear out fast. I've worn my hyperdunks and Carpe Diem Kobe 4s and its totally gone. I've worn my hyperdunksmore than the 4s but seriously. Sure it's comfortable at first but after 10 wearings, the response is totally gone.
 
they just make the bball shoes too hard and heavy. i had the black bb4s, xplosives, and vc3s. sooo heavy compared to what's out now. i use my vc3s foroutdoor ball, xplosives turned into work shoes and the zoom in the right foot popped on me. make a loud squeak when i walk lol.

i don't think nike will ever stop making shox or shox-inspired shoes but in terms of spirit they died out a long time ago.

ok i see my statement about shox and the injury proneness of players is not very valid, but you gotta admit shox have never been that great of ashoe for you ankles. the shoz cushioning system is just a dead technology that was never ne good.

maybe I'm in the minority but I have some lunar trainers and the Lunar Foam has lasted forever....Shox on the other hand do suck in my opinion and Zoom Airis > anything else on the market.

IMO the shox bomber was way too heavy. They looked pretty good, but felt mad clunky

That's why they need to improve it. Early version of Zoom Air were pretty crappy too. 96-99 zoom air aint that responsive compare to nowadays.Now if they have full length zoom like the Lebron II with lunar foam midsole and ZKIV upper. That would be holy molly

shox are somethong you have to learn to appreciate
i bought a pair of shox runners in 2005 and i am still enjoying them a lot
 
while most of us sneakerheads like zoom, ther are a TON of people that like the shox. the store i work at is in central illinois and we get people asking forthem all the time. i must say i've had a couple pair and they weren't too bad. the NZ's were better than the classic's. all in all though idon't see the shox line going anywhere anytime soon. AFAIK they just came out with a bunch of new SPARQ shoes engineered around the shox platform.
 
oh damn, i just remembered i have a few pairs sitting in the bottom of my stack

i forgot about them until this thread came up

full length shox was piff though
 
I always liked the shox basketball line.

Especially when the BB4 came out. These are the best basketball shoes i have had HANDS DOWN in my opinion

I want to see the BB4 get retroed with some nice colorways in the future

how were they? i know they were probably a wear test sample but did they look nice?
 
Im still a fan of Nike Shox. The look & feel just works for me.

While the designs may be running thin, Im sure Nike still has some ideas left.
