Is it strange to attend classes you're not actually registered for? Word to getting a good education.

I had a friend who studied film and I used to attend the showings with her - saw some classics like "Citizen Kane" and "Serpico" on the bigscreen.

but did you smash?

it seems like "auditing" has a paperwork process with permission from the professor. ive been hitting up this class because i wanted to take it butthe classes were full to register. now i was just thinking about hitting up different lectures.

hardly. i know plenty of people who just sit on in math/physics/bio/chem classes because they're about to take the MCAT/DAT/OAT.

but then again, UCI is a large, public university.
additionally, the people i know are already registered full time students at UCI, and they are just sitting in on undergraduatelectures, where lecture halls seat nearly 400 students.

dunno man. i'm sure if you really want to you can just talk to the professor and see what they say/what the process is.

its weird if its a 10 person discussion class.

I kinda wish I had taken some more interesting classes.

If its a lecture hall its all good....if its a smaller class....would be odd

but I constantly do that

word. i would only sit in on a class if i had the free time to do so, and if it was a big lecture where i could just blend in

not weird at all - i went to orgo class for a sem cuz i wasnt able to register into it due to things with my prereqs... helped me get ready for orgo when iactually took it

also - if i was the studious/learned type i realized that i could go take college classes even back when i was in highschool, with lecture halls of 400 ppl, nobody would know or care

so for all those young highschool kids that want to learn in life or get a head start in knowing these things - take some college classes on ur free time

if your sitting in class to see if it will be something you want to take in the future but just going to class constantly that your not registerd for..... ? tomuch time?
